I struggled with growing in my relationship with God and praying for the longest time. My intimacy with God was non existent. But everything changed! I’ll tell you how. What is a yoke? It’s a wooden beam put on farm animals to pull load. I can’t even imagine how heavy it would be. But Jesus is saying take my yoke, what does this mean? Well, we all have loads we are intentionally or unintentionally pulling. Worries, sin, work and more. For all that he has called us to do, He’s saying first, come. Take rest and now here’s my yoke. My shoulders are big enough to pull the loads. With His yoke, the burden is easy and light. There’s someone else with more power pulling, suddenly that thing that seemed big, it’s still there but you are navigating it with so much more ease.
