This video is quite long but I hope you watch till the end . Spending time with Abba changed and it’s still changing me . Sharing this to let anyone know that , spending time with Abba is totally enjoyable. If you plan on spending eternity with Him, why not get started with enjoying His presence here on earth. Let this year be the year you stay in His presence . I remember listening to a lady share that her devotion moved from routine to delight , this was at a panel section for @t30devotion at Deeper 2022 organized by @cci_global . The seed was sown in my heart and another time on my way from work , tired and stressed I stumbled upon a video by Aunty @tybello on the street of, she mentioned something that struck my heart ,I will paraphrase ,”you have reduced yourself to a Lagos hustling babe”. I knew how I wanted to get close to my father , there have to be more but this desire was shrouded in fear , fear of not been able to stay consistent. Around 2022, I started writing to Abba using the @withloveabbaco journal , I would just rant in these letters , I remember first letter , I told Abba my one desire was for my devotion to move from routine to delight. Fast forward to 2023, I fell in love with spending time in His word . My desires started to align with that of my Father . I fell in love with Abba. I started to long to spend time with Him, all the lies the devil painted was ripped apart and I saw light . I saw that not spending time with Abba was me depriving myself of so much goodness . I saw my life transform daily as I began to spend time with Him. Abba opened my eyes to see that spending time with Him was such a rare privilege. If you read this far and you long to spend time with God, in studying his word and in the place of prayer , I pray that Abba flushes the old appetite in you and replaces it with His desire for your life . I pray you come to a place where you hearts starts to long for the presence of Abba in Jesus mighty matchless name. On my walk/run this morning I listened to this episode of @eziipod and it was a really worthy listen. It got me reflecting with gratitude on how wholesome my friendships are. In the last 5 years I have had my friend’s transition from being single to becoming married and mum’s even though the dynamic of our lives might have changed, our friendship have adjusted to accommodate the growth. Daily, I am learning that if you want anything to grow, you need to water it and same applies to your friendships or any relationship at all. Someone on thread asked that we share one thing we did to turnaround our mental health…I didn’t even need to think twic about my answer. Spending time daily in God’s word has done my heart a lot of good but I will share just a few . 1. I stopped getting angry a lot( for the longest time I was irritated by the world and I expressed that in my low tolerance towards people) 2. I started seeing people through the lens of God. 3. Stopped seeing me through the lens of trauma and discovered my identity in Christ 4. Fell in love with God based on my own encounter with Him- questioned the love a number of times because it sort of felt too good to be true.
