Confronted by this sharp rise in violence in her home country, Greek writer-director Markela Kontaratou turned to filmmaking as a means of processing and expressing her response. Still unable to process the 10 insane days we spent at Locarno Spring Academy, mentored by the incredibly inspiring @caroline_poggi and @jonathanvinel ❤️‍🔥 It was a blast to write and direct the adventures of a lonely King, come to life by the great Luna Scolari (and of course Bobito the jack russel 🐾) with the incredible help of @cisa_locarno students and especially @_acrt__ on cinematography and @dirosalilly on production.
