OUT NOW: Wona - VER D, the new single. Only six months after her EP Ashes and Arms, which saw her experimenting with a softer sound, and eight months after her single Puma Chrome, Wona delivers three new tracks in the single VER D, which pick up the thread of the harsher, abrasive textures explored in her sophomore album Happy Trippy Creepy. None of Them, Plus 1, Exhausted are multi-layered instrumental compositions, with the synthesizer spawning sounds that recall the everyday noises of the cityscape, woven together with melodic drum patterns, resulting into something that feels both synthetic and concrete. EP Ashes and Arms로 한층 부드러운 사운드를 탐색한 지 여섯 달, 싱글 Puma Chrome 이후 여덟 달 만에, Wona가 새로운 싱글 VER D로 돌아왔다. 이번 싱글에는 그녀의 두 번째 앨범 Happy Trippy Creepy에서 이어지는 거칠고도 날 선 질감의 세계가 다시 펼쳐진다. 세 곡 “None of Them,” “Plus 1,” “Exhausted”는 모두 다층적인 인스트루멘털 구성으로, 신디사이저가 도시의 일상적인 소음을 연상시키는 사운드를 만들어내고, 멜로딕한 드럼 패턴과 교차하며 인공적이면서도 동시에 현실적인 감각을 만들어낸다. 2026 SSS Tokyo tour recap with Mount XLR, Wona, Paola Laf, cjb95 This month we were able to be back in Tokyo for a short tour. First stop was at DOMMUNE, where @misato_kimpab and @kakigenkin interviewed us about our label and the Korean electronic music scene on a live stream hosted on Super Dommune's channel. Thanks to @ringodejong for being our language interpreter and helping us communicate smoothly. Second stop was at @midnight_east for this year’s umm edition. Thanks to @tyousinkai , @feline__l , @djdjkiki , and @deadfish_eyes who played on the night alongside Mount XLR. The party would not have been the success it was without them. This tour would not have been possible without the help of Misato Uchihata and @balsin_com_ . Thanks again for inviting us to Tokyo one more time. We would also like to thank @1_ichi_daichi for facilitating the interviews with @ave_cp and @buzzyroots.tokyo ahead of our shows and helping us promote the events. Artists on our roster have been asked to select a track from our label’s catalogue and reinterpret it in their own way. Wona remixing ccr and ccr remixing Wona, each adding their own character to the other’s tracks; Mount XLR and Kim Doeon giving a new ambient twist to the cinematic soundscape of PO WAH BUILDING by Song youngnam; Scorch layering his voice and lyrics to the instrumental track Dawn req born from the collaboration between cjb95 and Kim Doeon; plus new reinterpretations by cjb95, Stainus, HWI, Leesuho, and WYXX, each leaving their mark, from which the full spectrum of electronic sound manipulations emerge.
