I adore these Montana-sky shades of blue. While I'm not a huge fan of the 90+ degree days, I do love being surrounded by tall gorgeous grasses again, and getting to use the summer sun to capture a little of our natural Montana beauty! Everything I sunprint grows right here on our farm.

I have always been a huge fan of Darrell Ehrlick's work, so I was thrilled to get the chance to talk shop with him for this article! I could tell that the good old-fashioned newspaper holds a big piece of his heart, but he is doing a fantastic job of taking the newspaper forward with the times, at the Daily Montanan.

I am so excited to finally share about this cool collaboration! My good friend and fellow printer Tom Tschida and I created this edition of letterpress prints in celebration of the 50th anniversary of our Montana Constitution.

The Northern Plains Resource Council works hard to preserve our constitution, our democracy, and our natural resources, and their mission is important to us as well. We printed this edition as a fundraiser for @northernplainsresourcecouncil , so all proceeds from the sales of this limited edition will support their efforts. In honor of the first official full day of my favorite season, I had to squeeze in a reprint of my favorite sunflower cards!! I wasn't planning to print any fall cards this year, but there are sunflowers EVERYWHERE and I couldn't resist one quick little batch!!

These are so fun to make because I print them on the C&P and then I watercolor the petals in my favorite sunny yellow. I'm laughing today at my subconscious mind, because I just realized how much these also look like my new logo!!

We celebrated the last weekend of summer with a lovely, sunny cyanotype workshop at @fraeeverydaygoods yesterday!

I had such a great group of creative ladies, and the sun cooperated beautifully! I loved seeing all the gorgeous designs that my students created with my collection of pressed flowers and grasses. It is always so inspiring to gather with friends (old and new!) to create pretty things!

I am finally settling back in to my shop routine after the craziness of the first few weeks of school. I sure missed this old girl and her treadle! (And I'm ridiculously enamored with my sunny new sunflower chucks--my present to myself for my 40th a few weeks ago!) 😂🌻🙌
I may treadle a little slower now but my heart is forever young, haha!!
