This week would have been the week that we did Homestead.
Since announcing that our plans for 2025 wouldn’t be happening, it has given us time to reflect on what our future in this industry might look like. We both strongly believe in the ethos of Homestead and are still completely behind what we set out to do and the conversations we’ve had with so many of you since then have given us the confidence that we weren’t a million miles off track, time and circumstance just weren’t on our side. So for now it’s back to the Kitchen Table to regroup and refine our ideas for a smaller event and, when the time is right, we’ll share those details with you. Thank you to everyone that has sent words of support, love and kindness - it’s meant the world.
Whilst we plot the return of what Homestead 2.0 might look like, we couldn’t go too long without getting together to do what we love best - dinner with friends, in an intimate setting with some comedy and a bit of a boogie after.
But…we are not going to rush into anything. The industry is going through a very difficult time and it’s no secret that independents are struggling across the board. So we urge you all to support those kind of events, venues, pubs, bars - the independents - because they need all our support right now. The future of festival and events does really rely on people getting behind it early.
We will be back with more news in the coming months but right now going to take the time we need to look at all aspects of what we want to achieve with Homestead so we get it right and it’s the best it can be.
