The recent ribbon-cutting for the United Foods International (UFI) facility was a celebration of teamwork and technical precision. Willmeng delivered this specialized food production and cold storage tenant improvement within an existing shell, building out everything from refrigeration and processing rooms to warehouse and office space. The project required high-level coordination to integrate complex MEP systems and process utilities with owner-furnished equipment like industrial dryers and kettles. Our team executed the project without permanent power, utilizing generators to keep construction moving until the final electrical service was established. Despite the logistical hurdles, we ensured every system was aligned and ready for commissioning. Congratulations to UFI on this incredible new facility—we’re proud to have been the team to bring it to life! @azcommerce | @greaterphx | @cityofphoenixaz

We were honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the new Heritage Academy Maricopa Auditorium, a project that was truly built for the community. It was a privilege to see this vision come to life, providing a world-class space for students to dream, create, and showcase their incredible talents. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the performances. Seeing the students take the stage and fill this new space with music, dance, and theater was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. We were especially moved by the surprise tailoring of a song specifically for Willmeng; an unforgettable moment that reminded us of the lasting impact these spaces have on the next generation of leaders. A huge thank you to the Heritage Academy leadership, the @cityofmaricopa_az , and our dedicated trade partners for your collaboration on this project. We can't wait to see the years of creativity and inspiration that will happen within these walls!

We are proud to serve those who serve. At Willmeng, we’re honored to partner with the Fighter Country Foundation to support the men and women at Luke Air Force Base. Whether it’s renovating the base chapel's kitchen or building the new "Defenders" guard mount facility, we believe in providing our Airmen with the world-class environments they deserve. As James Murphy, our CEO, shares, we are wired to give back to our first responders and military members who put it all on the line every day. Supporting the Fighter Country Foundation is about more than construction; it’s about strengthening the community and ensuring our service members have the resources and spaces they need to thrive. Thank you to Ron Sites and the entire FCF team for letting us be a part of your mission!

Happy Mother's Day to the incredible women who balance the demands of the construction industry with the even greater responsibility of motherhood. Our team loved celebrating the moms of Willmeng with a special Mother’s Day brunch, filled with great food, flowers, and even better company. We are honored to support the dedicated mothers who help build our community and inspire us all with their strength and leadership every day. To all the moms at Willmeng and throughout the industry - thank you for everything you do!

At Willmeng, we know that the heart of every school building we renovate or construct is the dedicated staff inside. During Teacher Appreciation Week, our team stopped by North High School to serve breakfast and drop off a brand-new Nespresso machine for the staff lounge! Having recently completed the school's ballfield complex, it was a privilege to return and show our gratitude to the educators who make such a lasting impact on their students every day. From K-12 to Higher Ed, we are honored to build the spaces where teachers inspire the next generation. Thank you to the North High Mustangs and all the teachers across our community for everything you do!

Safety is never an afterthought; it’s the priority at all times. We gathered at our Prologis jobsite for a Safety Week stand-down with our partners at Prologis and our dedicated trade partners. While we enjoyed connecting over a great meal, the core focus remained clear: safety isn't just something we talk about during special events; it’s a commitment we bring to the field every single day. By taking this time to realign on our protocols and refocus on our shared goal of a zero-injury jobsite, we ensure that every person returns home safe to their families. A huge thanks to @prologis and all our trade partners for their ongoing dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards!

80 years in the making! We were honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the new Phoenix Union North High School Ballfield complex. As the oldest school in the area, North High was due for an upgrade, and we’re proud to deliver a total transformation of their baseball and softball facilities. Working on an active campus with over 1,000 students, our team coordinated daily with school staff to keep things moving safely and smoothly. The project featured: full field reconstruction, new dugouts, backstops, and fencing, state-of-the-art sports lighting and bleachers, and brand new irrigation and turf. Congratulations to the Phoenix Union High School District and the North High community! We loved watching the Mustangs take the field for the inaugural games on these fields!

The future of Mesa is built for opportunity, and the recent State of the City address made that clear. We want to thank Mayor Mark Freeman, Vice Mayor Scott Somers, and the entire Mesa City Council: Rich Adams, Dorean Taylor, Francisco Heredia, Jenn Duff, and Alicia Goforth, for their visionary leadership. The "Built for Opportunity" roadmap outlined by the Mayor provides a vital blueprint for our industry, highlighting over $1 billion in new capital investment over the past year. For the Mesa community as a whole, these strategic investments in infrastructure and water stewardship ensure that as we build, we are creating a city that is truly "Built to Last." We are honored to be part of the team building the future of this vibrant city!

We spent yesterday at our Formation 17 project site for a Safety Week stand-down, bringing the entire team together for a site-wide lunch and a visit from a shaved ice food truck. Safety stand-downs are a critical part of the safety process. They provide a necessary pause in the schedule to refocus on our protocols and ensure everyone is aligned on the mission of a zero-injury jobsite. Beyond the technical reminders, these events are about building relationships. When our team and trade partners take the time to connect over a meal, we strengthen the trust and communication needed to keep one another safe in the field. A huge thank you to everyone on the Formation 17 team for your commitment to excellence and for looking out for one another every single day.

It’s Construction Safety Week, a time when the entire industry pauses to refocus on the most important part of any project: the people. This week is dedicated to strengthening our collective commitment to safety, sharing best practices, and recognizing that a zero-injury jobsite is only possible when we work together. At Willmeng, safety isn’t just a checklist; it’s a commitment to every person who walks onto our jobsites. Our goal is simple: ensuring everyone goes home to their families every single night. We will be United Together in Safety, by empowering our crews to voice concerns and share ideas, we aren’t just building projects; we’re building a safer industry for everyone.
