To Be a Fly in the Rain - happy album release.
It's been a little over a year since
@wincebandnyc asked me to engineer and produce LP1, and it's been a little under a year since I joined as playing member. To, in fact, be corny on main, it's been quite the journey and an incredible honor. I've had the good fortune of being able to meet some of my closest friends and collaborators, the opportunity to perform all over, in-state and out, and to be part of a project I truly believe in with some of the greatest musicians I know, who I have the immense honor and privilege of calling my friends. I have been humbled time and time again, not only by having to step up and play alongside these people, but also in undertaking this album - truly, this has been a challenge that has tested me and I have grown so immensely as a human, musician, and engineer. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for this band. Thank you David, Ryan, and Greg - I love you all. Thank you to everyone that has lent their ears, willingly or not. Thank you to everyone that's come to a show. Thank you to everyone that's supported me and us. I could continue to wax poetic about how much this music and these people mean to me, but words stop meaning much after a certain point.
Flawed as it may be - imperfect recordings, intermittent 60 cycle hum, what-have-you - there's a lot of heart in this album. We put a lot of work in, and it's something I can safely say I - and we - are really proud of.
Thank you for listening and being here. It means the world. Thank you especially to David for trusting me with your work. It means a lot. I can safely say this is the culmination of everything I've learned and more, and yet there is so much further to go.
