🎨🌈 Calling all 2SLGBTQIA+ artists in Kingston/katarokwi!
Artery, in partnership with Reelout and Trellis HIV Community Care Centre, invites you to participate in this year’s Annual Pride Exhibition: Technicolour.
Reflecting on the community, resilience, and activism that have shaped where we are today, Technicolour celebrates the vibrancy, beauty, and queerness of Kingston/katarokwi. (April 9 - May 9) “Don’t Tell my Parents About This Show”
My first ever solo exhibition!!!
Today I am in awe and amazed by the wonderful ways the universe shows up for you. It was so amazing to see my Exhibits and curation of art come to life in the presence of others. I am so overjoyed with how it went and am buzzing with energy for what’s next.
More programming coming soon!!! Don’t worry I’ll let you know, just stay tuned.
My Favourite Moments:
⭐️ A painting being sold to a beautiful soul who I know will treat it beautifully.
⭐️ Kuya peeping the fit and knowing the vibe. ( context blue like the Filipino flag for peace and hope, a Filipino wrap shrouded in spiritually protective printing and my vintage purple pants)
⭐️ Braver souls than I taking on an open mic and absolutely killing it. Loved every poem and experimental tune played.
⭐️ the in-depth discussions of art I had individually about the colour and design of my art, also while eating a fistful of cake.
Special thank you to Matt and Will @arteryygk my show was so seamless and everything I could’ve hoped for. Truly could not have felt more supported or empowered by the team and the facility. I am so grateful to y’all!!!
*** sorry about the music it was in a different spot but Instagram Gods decided differently and I can’t remove it now :/***

Don’t Tell My Parents About This Show
A Solo Exhibition by Harvey Tolentino Doniego
If you are reading this, you have been invited into Harvey Tolentino Doniego’s secret life.
This exhibition gathers cherished memories and moments of liminality—thoughts, prayers, hopes, and desires. Some were never meant to be seen, or at least not by those who raised them to imagine something different. In sharing them, they ask for quiet understanding. What exists here is held between the work and its viewer.
This exhibition acknowledges who they have become—in spite of, because of, and inspired by their parents. Artery is transformed into a space where hidden fragments of the self can exist freely, without apology.
At its core, the work introduces their evolving “Q’we’re theory”—an ongoing body of exhibition and prose reflecting on the liminality, complexity, and community of being queer. Once a word used to mark the othered—the odd and alternative—queer is reclaimed here as camp, creative, and communal.
Exhibition Dates: April 9 – May 9, 2026
