Meet local artist Aaron Forsyth, better known as
@eronone , whose bold, colourful murals have become a vibrant and familiar part of Kingston’s streets.
You’ve likely seen his work as you strolled past the beautiful mural on the waterfront walkway of the
@deltakingstonwaterfront , while enjoying a slice at
@iamapizzamonster , or as you biked past
@frontenac.cycle .
Through bold colour and creativity, Aaron has helped shape the visual identity of downtown Kingston, turning everyday spaces into dynamic pieces of public art.
In his recent Q&A with Tianna Edwards (
@keepupwithkingston ), he reflected on his past projects, his role in the Kingston art community, and what inspires him most.
“My favourite thing is how embraced by the community I’ve felt while doing something I love for a living," he shared. "Being creative is my passion, and sharing my artwork with the public allows me to engage and speak with people face to face when producing pieces of art outdoors and at events.”
His studio space, The Wherehouse, which he opened with the help of his wife and fellow artist Em, hosts a variety of events and collaborations, serving as a community hub for creatives of all disciplines.
“I’m always happy to meet new people, answer questions and receive direct feedback,” he said. “It’s the best when someone lets me know that my artwork has added to their day in a positive way.”
