I photographed this set on my last trip to Mexico with my friend Alexa, and it was honestly so fun getting to make this idea come to life. I’ve spent most of my career photographing fashion, but I had never really photographed Mexico in a way that felt personal to me. For this shoot, I was inspired by the women you see in everyday life there. My mom was also a huge inspiration behind this shoot. Growing up she was always the one lending me her accessories, her clothes, and anything I needed when I wanted to create something. She helped shape my creativity more than she probably realizes. So I went back into her closet and picked out her clothes again and was able to piece this together!
So this one is for her and for the women who inspired it❤️

Retrate estas fotos durante mi último viaje a México con mi amiga Alexa, y honestamente fue una experiencia increíble crearla. He pasado la mayor parte de mi carrera fotografiando moda, pero nunca había retratado México de una forma que se sintiera realmente personal para mí.
Para esta sesión, me inspiré en la cultura y en las mujeres mexicanas, en los momentos del día a día que veía mientras crecía. Mi mamá también fue una gran inspiración detrás este proyecto. Creciendo, siempre era ella quien me prestaba sus accesorios, su ropa y todo lo que necesitaba cuando quería crear algo. Sin darse cuenta, influyó en mi creatividad más de lo que imagina. Volví a su clóset y elegí su ropa otra vez, y logré crear estos look.
