The Stag Beetles are back! didn’t see them last year, but here are 5 female youngsters when I pulled back the tarpaulin. Underneath the stone is a stump, and the stump is a big sandpit, they seem to like the heat and protection as well as the essential stump. See less of the big old male, they are a bit more solitary.
