The OT quartet has a track/ song, hold that sucker down. It’s infinitely extendable and comprises nothing but buildup. But this buildup anticipation is such that it conveys a vast… sort of endless frenzied grasping at nothing. A thunderous bass tears through it, and the highs seem to gesture at hedonistic nothing, a spike in the blood type sound that we really– I remember it in the mixtapes that sometimes soundtracked my school run. I remember it in a scene in Queer as Folk Original Series, watched in secret in younger days, under the cover of A vast room(of course), and a view of endless gyrating bodies under purple light. 2s and 3s forming and weaving in and out of one another. The endless buildup to endless harsh nothing. The thrusting of the body and neck. A vow made (at the time). That's what it will surely be like for me. When I’m out, on the scene, a known person, recognisable, coloured. When I am known on my own terms!

Another way of putting things.... 4 drawings "The Postwarwickshire Institute" On display at Hypha Studios Gallery 3. 1 Poultry, Bank. If it isn’t real, I have to make it– build up the postwarwickshire institute and become its affiliate. If I have an institute I am cited, If I am cited I am real, If I am real I am fixed, I am fixed up, I am fixed right upright. If I am serious, serious things may happen, serious events may no longer evade me. I don’t remember what happened in those gaps. I don’t remember who or what, I cannot confirm if, or when I might have been accessed. I need an institution  to control this access– you have to understand it’s gone out of control, now every fucker can get at me, you have to understand that this is uncontrollable, I have created, I have placed limits on this recording regime (even though they all seek to record me). This is just out of control, my institute can bend and reshape control– in time. (control needs it!!!), it is a new postwarwickshire theory of shifting sands, constant movement, it is irreversible damage, it is out of control– out of yours and into mine. Out of you and into me You can hear more about the postwarwickshire insitute this coming 24th of May, where I will be hosting a workshop on Final Contemporary Thought, my (postwarwickshire) conceptual writing engine...

Joseph Towne, master wax sculptor, had access to a range of cadaverous examples to model from. His steady supply rolled down the hills, from the gallows, from a moment in time that merged anatomy with punishment- (and has remained that way ever since). The wooden blocks persist in the display of his exquisite models. Their fates, of course, those of criminals; preserved in their states of condemnation and left to the forever-institution. A plastinated criminal. No chance of revival on the surgeon’s table. No decay, no feelings harrowed up by an unexpected gasp or sigh. Eyes glassed over, or waxed shut. A persistent chance of self identification, though. Liquids and wastes flowing down the drain of history…

“Sad Little Language” by William Aghoghogbe @willagho is a text and image composite (and excerpt from a larger text), merging autotheory, autofiction and psychoanalysis in contemplation of the “go0n” phenom 👻.* • • • @willagho is a theorist devising writings and other media on subjectivation and wax concepts. His work draws upon the transsexual morés of wax figures: their impressions, repetitions, resemblances, doublings, and most crucially, inversions. *Sticker does not appear on zine.

From screwtop prosecco to real champagne! ...... as has been clear, wax concepts have been an integral part of my academic and creative process for quite some while now. It started as an amalgamation of a project I did with the (wax) works of John Isaacs, which became a sort of medium/mediator for my experience of a first real, (yet ill-fated) relationship, and an investigation into the trauma-warped time zones of warwick, in which chronologically impossible wax mise-en-scenes reign supreme. What came of this was a revelation: wherever subjectivity (or subjectivation) is to be found, for better or for worse, there will also be wax; lurking in the background, twisting memories, impressing upon bodies, you name it!!!!!! Anyway... I don't know how to properly articulate this, but I thought I should post to say that MY WAX SCHOLARSHIP HAS COME GOOD!!! I got an offer to pursue it as a PhD project at Cambridge, with the faculty of English- of all places. !! So thank you to everyone who has listened to my rants for the last 3 years or however long I've been at this. Now I can say for sure that people care about wax!!! It is an indescribable feeling to have this work validated at such a level (sorry for falling once again for the allure of a rarefied institution- but hey I went to GSA and I want my prestige to come with full access to nice buildings that are intact now thank you very much!!!!!) Anyway, I have no idea about if I have funding or what colleges or, etc etc, but I'll try to make it work by hook or by crook. WOOOOHOOOOO VIVA WAX!!!!!!

In the 19th Century, we (by we, I mean, of course, me) were enamoured. We fell for wax women europe (the world) over. Eve, Venus, Olympia (later), the Doppelgangess, all waxen seductresses for our truest anxieties. Women that move without speaking, who turn without turning, and turn into themselves, a more visible interior unto themselves, or who turn all their surfaces such that they are entirely equivalent to, if not greater than, the sum of their insides. In effette! The dismountable venus is just as clear an anatomical example when intact or taken apart… and when she is taken apart, her glossy interior imparts some physicall pressure- an exertion onto real (true) flesh. Thus she disrupts, by virtue of being waxen, all true and false perceptions of what a woman-anatomy is in the first place. We know this from the ancient world. Some wax tablets take impression better than others, so we remember readily the appearance of our kinfolk. Yet, sometimes these impressions have no bearing on those thoughts that we think we know to be true- uncountable errors cannot be managed in wax. Hence, the ancient world lies low for a while until it can confront Descartes, with wily, soft and pliable wax in his hands by the fireplace. Wax is wax is wax the way down, so the thoughts emerge (in the true/ right sense) as accounted for only to themselves. “What I think, therefore, is what is, in the true sense, seen before me”. The mind alone has reason, and thus, the intellect is borne of wax. The intellect is in the virgin wax heart of Elizabeth I.

The postwarwickshire Womb I was not born here, rather, was superimposed upon the landscape. And a womb was subaltern (subducted in a way), /Was a Possessed organ,/ as if to crawl underneath the crosshairs of my body! So, you see how this record is triangulated– the county record /As Such/ must be triangled inside me, to make sure that it was here Where i was born, un derneath and superimposed on top! The whole messy business of it, and the whole Obsession I have with my ownnn wretched origins So many contradictory things about me, and so many definites I’d speak to you about how I am, by proxy, desperate for a private education And sandstone And rubble Silt in the river Creased leather books Wax Grease Hair Stench Sebum Sweat Disease to rid myself of the rotted case Sense organ thing that I’ll Turn into a machine that records, that’ll do me! That’ll fix me! Fix me up! Get rid of me! Throw me away!!
