Moogie Canazio left this world today. As someone who spent most my adult life studying and playing Brazilian music, then studying engineering, this is one of my all time heroes. And one of the most humble, kind, generous people I’ve met in this industry. Moogie sent me music to listen to, gave me feedback on music I was working on, and was incredibly generous with his time and feedback. I love you Moogie. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏❤️🩹
Dear friends, family and community. This is very dear to my heart. I know all of you are feeling the weight of what is happening in this country at this time. Please, give anything you can. Link in bio. In solidarity, gratitude and love✊🏼🙏🏻❤️🩹
Mama I miss you, but I feel you every day. Painful to pass my first birthday without you here. This was the last birthday treat we shared together. Love you mama! ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹 I hope I continue to make you proud.
Leon says it all right here. Endless love and gratitude to my mama for EVERYTHING. we’ve had an incredible run and we’re not done yet! Love you mama for ever and ever.
Born April 28, 1935 in San Francisco, raised on Ulloa St. went to Stanford and lived in Santa Cruz in the early 50s, surfed before the wetsuit. Served in the Air Force in Germany. Built houses by hand in Big Sur, Mill Valley and Bolinas, including the house I was born in (1979) as I grew up.
It wasn’t until I moved out of his house that I realized he had my back in a way I didn’t first understand. I thought he was such a hard ass. Now, I realize that was his love language, and he has done a tremendous job to push me out of my comfort zone and share with me all the things that make his eyes sparkle.
I love you pops. Thanks for the incredible role model you have been in my life. Words can’t express my love and gratitude. Still kicking ass at 88!

I started doing a “plank challenge” a few days ago. He did one with me on his 88th birthday, lasted longer than me and said “im@not really feeling anything” about 90 seconds in. Not only is he doing great for 88, he’s also doing great for 44!
Love you @lloyd.kahn . More than you can know. ❤️🙏🏼
