Debates are triggered over the best places to buy chicken rice. Outrage is frequently expressed over “Singapore noodles”, which did not originate from the island. And Singaporeans and Malaysians often make ownership claims over food as if locked in a heated custody battle. In All You Can Eat, eight exciting young playwrights from Wild Rice’s The Rice Cooker programme serve 10-minute plays inspired by food, with dramaturgy by Alfian Sa’at and Joel Tan. A family is both brought together and torn apart by Mee Soto. A man with a terrible secret demonstrates how to prepare a Dry Martini. And a diner at a Hotpot restaurant receives the biggest surprise of her life. Young & Wild cook up a storm with this multi-course offering, under the direction of Edith Podesta. Come feast with Wild Rice’s talented youth ensemble as they explore the mouth-wateringly diverse and dramatic foodscapes of Singapore!

Who run the world? Girls! 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏽 Coming this June to Wild Rice — a brand-new verbatim theatre piece on queer women in Singapore. 🧡🤍🩷 🎟️ Book now and enjoy a 15% Early Bird discount on Cat 1 and 2 tickets! Discount ends 25 Feb 2026. ——— 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏽 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 📆 11 – 27 Jun 2026 ✍🏻 Written by Deonn Yang & Alfian Sa’at 👀 Directed by Deonn Yang 🌟 Starring Mehr Dudeja, Farah Ong, Tan Rui Shan, Eve Voigtlander & Yap Yi Kai In popular culture, queer women rarely get to take centre stage. They seldom headline blockbuster movies, and they don’t star in breakout television shows like Drag Race or Queer Eye. Lesbian slang has not become part of everyday conversation, and it can be hard to name a lesbian anthem. Sometimes, mainstream media pretends that queer women just don’t exist. 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 is here to change all that. Based on interviews with diverse voices from this evolving community, ranging from baby dykes to queer elders, this verbatim theatre play shines a spotlight on the lives of queer women in Singapore. How do queer women define their culture? Is their supposed invisibility in public spaces an advantage or a drawback? How do queer women challenge the stereotypes that plague their community, and how do they find themselves and their chosen families in a conservative society? In conjunction with Pride Month, Wild Rice proudly presents this touching and illuminating tapestry of true stories – from a singer to a stand-up comedian, from a burlesque dancer to a Paralympian, from mothers who raise children to “aunties” who travel the globe. 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 is the myth-busting, soul-affirming oral history project that Singapore never knew it needed... until now. Rating: R18 Recommended for patrons aged 18 and above

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟𝗦 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟𝗦 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟𝗦 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆! 🩷 Girls Girls Girls is a bold, funny and deeply human piece of verbatim theatre, drawn from real voices across generations of queer women in Singapore. It brings stories we rarely hear on our stages into the light with honesty, heart and courage. Like all LGBTQ+-themed productions in Singapore, this brand-new play receives no government funding or support. At Wild Rice, we depend on your generosity to tell these important stories with courage and care. To bring this production fully to life, Wild Rice needs to raise $50,000 to break even. If you believe in theatre that speaks to our shared humanity, please consider making a donation in support of this production. Every gift matters, and will go a long way in helping us to shine a spotlight on the lives of queer women in Singapore. As Wild Rice is a registered charity, donations of $50 and above entitle you to 250% tax deduction. If you have any questions or require more information, please get in touch with Sharon at [email protected]. 💌 Click the link in our bio to make your donation!

@rishibudhrani brings his hit show, CAN I MAKE YOU A SUIT, MATE? back to the Wild Rice stage from 20 to 24 May 2026! 🧵 Book your tickets now via Ticketmaster or the link in our bio! “The perfect blend of comedy and sentiment” — The Straits Times, Life! “Hilarious… Heartfelt” — Esquire Singapore “Humour, heart, and a touch of nostalgia...” — Bakchormeeboy.com After multiple sold-out shows in 2022 and 2024, Singapore’s sharpest funnyman is back with this one-of-a-kind comedy that has attained critical and commercial success. In a semi-improvised comedic monologue, Rishi Budhrani, the first stand-up comedian invited to host the National Day Parade (2022), the voice of Sammy on the award-winning Netflix animated series, Downstairs, and a seasoned pro on Comedy Central Asia, has amassed a bunch of material, inspired by his father’s own journey, to create an original, heartfelt and funny tale, made-to-measure. A Singaporean tailor takes you through his time in this country as a business owner for over 4 decades. He sees things like nobody else does and he regales us with stories of dealing with the “Mat-salleh’s” from different parts of the world, and how he fought to survive through the Gulf War, SARS, the Asian Financial Crisis, and most recently, the pandemic. He does all this while making you laugh, becoming your friend, and, most importantly, trying to make you a suit. In every sense, this is truly a tailor-made Singaporean story. "Can I Make You A Suit, Mate?" was first presented by Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay for Kalaa Utsavam - Indian Festival of Arts 2022.

26 performances later, we’ve officially closed The Christians! 💛 Thank you all for coming to church with us and for being a part of our congregation these past few weeks. It has been a privilege to share this play with you. To our incredible company of The Christians, onstage and off: thank you for the honesty, care, and craft you brought to every performance. Lucas Hnath’s powerful play asks hard questions and offers no easy answers. It asks us to hold space for doubt, for disagreement, for the people we love who see the world differently. We hope the play has made room in you for doubt, for questioning, and for grace, and to see each other with a little more empathy. The love and support you’ve shown this production has meant the world to us. Thank you. 🙏 ⛪️ “A church is a place where people go to see something that is very difficult to see. A place where the invisible is – at least for a moment – made visible. The theatre can be that too.” — Lucas Hnath
