Deadline May 22nd!
We are hiring 3-4 dancers to workshop choreography for our new piece “They Carry Us”. Community dancers, professional dancers, and recreational dancers/movers/theater artists are welcome from all backgrounds and 18+ ages. We are asking for at least 1 year of experience performing. We do prioritize the hiring of IBPoC and 2SLGBTQIA* performers. Please send your CV/resume, a letter of interest, and a video of yourself performing.
When: June 9-17th 2026 .
Total Hours: There will be a total 30 hrs of rehearsal, 10 hours of tech rehearsal and 1 WIP showing. The rehearsal schedule can be negotiated based on dancer availability.

Introducing: @indigenousflutist She is co-director of Wild Mint Arts and contributes the sound design and is the main choreographer for touring shows. She will be performing at Cranbrook Childrens Festival, Trail Silver City Days, @artswhistler Children's Festival @vankidsfest and @hahaha_kidzfest She will also be teaching creative movement workshops as well!
She is a hoop dancer, and sometimes dances jingle dress and fancy shawl on tour.

Introducing: @elijahzwellsart Elijah is from the Kainai nation also known as the Blood Tribe within the Blackfoot Confederacy. He is the co-director of Wild Mint Arts and does the lighting design for the shows. He will be dancing @vankidsfest@artswhistler Children's Festival, Cranbrook Children's Festival, h@hahaha_kidzfest and Trail BC's Silver City Days.

Introducing: @twosmudge_ He s a designer, printmaker, beader, and visual artist from the Piikani Nation within the Blackfoot Confederacy. Matthew is an emerging designer that focuses on creating garments that are thoughtfully created to tell stories through design.
He currently resides in Vancouver and will be joining Wild Mint Arts sharing his signature Blackfoot-style chicken dance in nimihitowin! and Powwow Mash-UP for @vankidsfest and for Whistler's Children's Festival.
Introducing: @nyla.bedard
Nyla is a tahltan/kaska/french/scottish performer currently residing in Vancouver BC. She will be joining us on tour to @vankidsfest@artswhistler and @hahaha_kidzfest dancing Fancy Shawl, Jingle Dress, and hoops in nimihitowin, Powwow Mash-UP! and It's Powwow Time! family dance shows.
She is a mom, facilitator, and performer. Nyla has also lent her voice to the cartoons Raven Tales: The Movie (APTN) and Molly of Denali (PBS). Drawing on her experience as someone of mixed heritage, her goal is to blend the past, present and create new works for the future.
As we work towards our spring tour - we are excited to work with the Back Road Bandits on new music for our kids show. They are rockin it @nmc_canada studio bell 🎙️

Introducing: @luffhandlez Theresa Scout Daniels
Theresa is a Stoney Nakoda/Siksika powwow dancer from Mînî Thnî, Alberta. She has been dancing fancy since she was little and is now a traditional dancer. She will be performing @vankidsfest keycity.theatre Childrens Festival and @charlesbaileytheatre Silver City Days. She brings her distinct Blackfoot style of dancing the stage.
