There is a quiet power in returning to your hands + body 🧵 I am speaking to the woman who feels the weight of a busy life on her shoulders. The woman who is tired, moving at a frantic pace and is ready to finally LAND. For the one who craves a day where she doesn’t have to produce, she just gets to create, breathe and belong. On April 18th, we gather in Miami for the first Weaving Circle. This is a day for: š–„” Finding your rhythm - Step out of the house and into a rhythmic prayer of the hands. Enter a meditative weaving flow ~~ It’s not about being an artist, it’s about the steady, calming repeat of the thread. š–„” Reclaiming your body - we’ll move our bodies with gentle somatic movement + breathwork, to release any areas of tension we sometimes carry (hips, chest, feet). We’ll be learning simple self massage techniques to settle the nervous system. š–„” Sitting in sisterhood- A small, intimate circle of women. No performance, just the honest medicine of sitting together and sharing space. You’ll leave with your own hand woven piece and a body that feels lighter than when you arrived. No weaving experience is needed. Just an open and curious heart šŸ«€ Limited seats available, click the link in my bio to claim your spot or dm the word RECLAIM if you feel the call to join ~ #somatichealing #bodywisdom #weaving #ancientwisdom #ritualcraft

I have spent the last seven years in deep devotion to the human body. In my work with others and within my own skin, I have witnessed the holy difference between a life lived ā€œout loudā€ in the mind and a life rooted in the flesh. We have become so accustomed to looking outward, outsourcing our well-being and searching for answers in the noise. That we have forgotten how to listen to our own internal landscape. On April 11th, I am opening a portal to return to that quiet, physical wisdom. TheĀ Somatic Weaving CircleĀ is a homecoming. I am fusing ancestral beadwork with somatic regulation because the hands and the nervous system speak the same ancient language. When we move the needle in a rhythmic loop, the mind finally steps aside, allowing a deeper, more spontaneous knowing to resurface. This is where our vitality lives! This is where we remember how to belong to ourselves. - The Portal - body as the loom:Ā We honor the spine and the breath as the structure. Through gentle, intuitive movement, we unload the weight of the day and remember how to find ease in our own bones. craft as the mirror:Ā You will learn to weave a pair of beaded earrings from start to finish. This is not just ā€œmakingā€; it is a practice of presence, witnessing what surfaces in the stillness of the craft. the circle:Ā We gather as ten sisters, sharing tea and a communal processing space that honors the pulse of our collective vitality. - Details - When: April 18th, 12pm-4pm Where: Miami (the exact address of our sanctuary will be shared after registration) Comment ā€œWEAVEā€ & I’ll message you the details to register + secure your seat at the loom Also, tag a dear sister you see yourself going with or who you think would love to join šŸ’— Let’s experience the sweetness of returning home šŸÆ from my wild heart, Michelle • • • #ancestralart #somatic #beadwork #miamiartist #slowcraft

The first time I saw these seeds, I was in a market in Ecuador. Never knowing their name or what power they held, i felt an admiration and respect for them like no other piece I was buying that day. Years later, I saw them again here in Miami, this time in my friend’s backyard, I couldn’t believe they grew right where I lived. After much research these beauties are called rosary pea (Abrus precatorius). Which are highly toxic, that if swallowed by animals or humans, can be fatal. I couldn’t help but not feel fear as I was looking at them, just respect & awe. How beautiful and deadly they were at the same time. šŸŒ¹šŸ„€ I also learned that these seeds have been used across many cultures for adornment, prayer beads and ritual. They carry stories of protection, boundary and duality. Years later, I came across them once more in a bead shop. I remembered thinking, no way these are reaI. I created a few pieces about a year later but as I sat with the pieces longer, the beads began to mirror something back to me. They’re real. I really sat with the responsibility that comes with working with certain natural materials. While they’re totally safe to wear when intact, i couldn’t help but think, anything can happen & I can’t risk that. Because of that, I’ve decided these pieces won’t be for sale. In that realization, these seeds hold so much but some materials feel like they are meant to arrive to be witnessed, to teach or to be held privately rather than circulated. This was the message I received from them ᛫𖄔᛫ I wanted to share this openly ~ to honor the history of the seed and to name the quiet discernment that sometimes happens behind the scenes of making. I’m curious what this brings up for anyone who’s read this far. Would knowing the history of a material change the way you wear it? Would love to hear your thoughts šŸ¤ #beadwork #rosarypea #beads #handwoven #handmade #slowlymade #adornments

Telluric ~ these weavings were born of water currents and snake medicine. I made these many moons ago but felt like I had to wait & listen to when the right moment was for them to be seen… at the end of the year of the snake š“†š • before the turn into the year of the horse. This pair carries the medicine of the snake spine ~ let these remind you to keep shedding, to trust the slow intelligence of your body and to move forward only after the skin has been released šŸ • • • • • #beadwork #miamiartist #miamiartisan #yearofthesnake #snakemedicine #slowlymade #intentionalart

hi lovely people, been a while, a minute, a season…. but I’m here, alive & in deep hibernation mode 🐻 my body is feeling it, HEAVY since we stepped into December. A few weeks ago, I attended my first moon dance + since being back, all I felt called to do is weave. I’ve been weaving nonstop almost, everyday. During those 4 nights of fasting, dancing basically all night with little to no sleep under the full moon, amongst women, in prayer, & doing 2 temazcales a day… I received so many designs, they would come to me in flashes & moments of stillness. So vividly. the colors would be so bright & pronounced! I’ve never received so many designs in such a short period. But it makes sense, where the senses and needs are paused (food and sleep). All I had was moments to myself & with spirit, the connection with earth, to my prayers, the channel became clean and sharper & was able to receive better. Other than the designs, I received profound medicine. medicine that doesn’t stop just because the ceremony is over, it continues. It’s still coming to me even weeks later & im sure I’ll be receiving months from now. This was a time to reflect and go within. A time to take a step back and look at all areas in my life. & so, I listened & my human body told me to take time off from bodywork… I felt I had to protect my energy after such a big ceremony. Bodywork is my main source of income and for my body to ask that of me was scary & unsettling. But I trusted. I had to. For now, while my body heals & rests this winter, I will be leaning more on my creations for financial income ~ & so with this, I still have a few pieces available on my website & on sale until Dec 31st ~ 35% OFF ~ I want these older designs to move & find homes & make room for the designs that want to be birthed from the ceremony!!! šŸ•Šļø During this gifting season, I hope you find a weaving that calls to you or a loved one. So happy to be back creating & connecting with you all šŸ’— so much love & happy winter solstice šŸ•Æļø • • • • • #wintersolsticeā„ļø #moondance #medicine #weavings #handmadejewelry #slowlycrafted #wildmar #wild #nature #motherearth

It’s been a quiet season on here. Tending to all areas of my life… though for me, the work never stops. Creation has been happening behind the scenes, through my hands, my bodywork, my tending of the earth, the spiritual threads, the beads and the rhythms that shape my days. My life and my work aren’t separate paths I’ve come to realize ~ they weave into one. So even when I’m not posting, I’m still creating, still listening, still tending. So thank you for being here, through the seasons š–£  seen and unseen • • • • #slowreturn #livingthework #artasmedicine #slowmaking #creativeseasons #intentionalart #handmadewithintention #earthbasedcreativity #slowcraft #weavingstory

One of the ways I show devotion is through my beadwork :: slow weaving of color and story. My hands remember the ones who came before me and the stories I carry now. Designs arrive in dreams, colors chosen like memories I didn’t even know I held. Each pattern is an offering. Bead by bead, our stories live on ࿓࿓࿓ • • • • #ancestralcraft #beadwork #slowcraft #ritualart #lineageliving #earthtonestudio #wovenstories #intentionalliving #handmadealchemy #wildmar #handmadejewelry

gotta get honest real quick ~~~ sometimes I don’t want to do anything. not in the mood to weave nor in the mood to massage anyone, hey, let alone see anyone! Sometimes I crave doing absolutely NOTHING. A major reset, my brain can finally sigh and relax. There’s days where I disconnect from the world and garden all day, no devices, just my thoughts, maybe some music in the background, soil under my nails, my hair a complete mess with an Ayurvedic oil mask, socks + clothes mismatching . I look forward to these days. Soaking in those slow moments, praying with so much gratitude for yet another day.. thinking of times where phones didn’t exist. That’s why I take long breaks from here, I fully LET GO of the idea that I need to post daily or weekly… just to make sure my engagement is up? & for what? For money? for more likes/followers? That’s never been the motive for me. I guess I don’t care about all those rules, I post when my body says so, when I’m going through transitions in my life, when my art wants to be seen. I surrender and trust that each piece will eventually find its home and that’s how its been for the past few years. They always find their home someway, somehow. There’s no rush. There’s beauty in being patient, in slowness, it’s doing things intuitively, in cycles. That’s how my system operates. just wanted to share where my hearts been at lately ~ hope you’re also taking things slow 🦄 + surrendering & now off to smothering my fur baby and eating a ton of chocolate while I stare outside my window watching baby mangos grow peace yall šŸ«€āœØ • • • • #slowliving #patience #wildmar #beadwork #slowpace #gratitude #appreciatethelittlethings #nophonesallowed
