I have been a visual artist for ten years.
Two years ago I felt alone in my process.
I needed group work, collective creativity.
So I started improv theater.
This gave me the possibility to be weird and vulnerable, and that was very welcomed in the groups!
It gave me confidence to explore more.
From stand up comedy to scripted pieces.
And also to facilitate improv theater workshops!
I believe that playing theater in a supporting group is political.
It is not only for actors, it is for everyone!
It creates care, communities and it gives space to marginalized voices.
It helps us see each other, listen to each other, imagine new worlds together. And I believe we live in times where human beings need that.
This is what I want to share with as many people as I can on stage and in workshops for full beginners so they can also feel this wonderful feeling on having fun with other by playing theater ♥️

Tonight (24/04) at 20:00, I will be performing with my site specific performance group in 90MIL
With the supervision of Lauren Pringle, we spent 2 months connecting with the space and each other, and creating narratives around it.
I came into this process with big expectations for myself. I wanted to train every day, to build my presence through contemporary dance and movement. And to show up tonight feeling sharp and ready
Then I got a lower back injury (which happened for no apparent reason)the , and I had to let go of that version of things.
I hard a hard time about having to hold back when every instinct wants to go further.
My challenge tonight will be to stay in sync with my body and hear its limitations, and accepting that sometimes, we need to let go of perfection and embrace our movement range and have fun with it.
And I am so glad to be part of this cute group 😍 . The energy we've built together these past weeks has been something special, and I am excited for performing together tonight.

Tomorrow 24/04, come to 90MIL for the art school showcase (free entry). At 20:00, the site-specific performance group led by Lauren Pringel will showcase what we have been working on for 2 months. Through corporeality and connection (to the space and other bodies), we will share with you how the last two months resonated with us. Also, we learned that 90MIL used to be a car factory, so we included that in the narrative too. And there will be many other showcases as well!

That's a glimse on today's session of Site Specific Performance in 90Mil today!
90mil used to be a car factory, so we brainstormed on the concept of industrial machines and toxicity.
We created mechanism from our bodies, where shape and collective play was at the center.
In reseach today, we represented how bodies could create a machinery through repetitive and glitchy movement, and following a pulse together.
We will show you the result of this site specific work on the showcase of the 24th of April in 90mil
This workshop is lead by @laurenjaynepringle for the @90milartschool 💛

It is hard for me to get in the zone but I have a hack: body doubling!
I invited my artist friend @romigded to draw non stop next to each other for a couple of hours, every Tuesdays.
It is going for almost two month now!
Here is a sample of the tiny collectible artworks I have done in around 4 hours today 😌
Using body doubling is the easiest way for me to get sh*t done 💪

Sneak peek on today's Site Specific Performance session.
We are currently preparing a 30 min show to share about decay and intimacy.
On this video, we are collectively researching on how to share the feeling of:
Melting together, finding comfort into the softness of the togetherness, parting away, and to start over again and again.
If you are curious to see more (there will be some surprises!), join us to the the final Showcase on the Evening of the 24th of April in 90 mil!
This piece of performance has been brainstormed during the class Site Specific Performance, facilitated by Lauren Pringle during the @90milartschool

I painted on the table again 😇
My friend invited me to his place for a crafty evening, and I realized I forgot to bring my paper and my palette!
I decided to use the back of my notebook as paper, and his table as a palette.
It worked well until my favorite brush lost all her hair 💀
I am not sure it is related, thought.

I'll share with you one of my biggest insecurities:
I’ve been doing visual art for 11 years and I could never stick with one medium.
I have been working with Film photography, Cyanotype, Screenprint, Watercolor, Risograph..
And now Gouache!
For a long time I told myself this meant that I had no coherenceand that I was scattered and undisciplined.
And that I haven't found my "artist voice".
But starting gouache this year (as a New Year resolution to just paint more) unlocked something.
I took pleasure again in creating, playing with mixing beautiful colors and painting soft gradients, and working with mixed media (something that I never truly dated to explore!)
And looking at my research discovery painting… I’m starting to think the coherence in art medium might not be the most important, but instead the passion to explore, experiment and stay playful!
I hope this inspired and productive energy will last as long as possible 🌿

When the canvas is too small, I end up drawing on the table 🫠
I gave myself the challenge to draw and paint only on Pokemon card sized canvas.
I love that this small format is inspiring by limiting the possibilities. But tonight, I just could not contain the desire to doodle a big goofy sketch... On the table!
And it's a classic mischievous cat.
