I get to do a lot of cool things with @playgroundensemble .
This time we had artists build instruments and we are composing for them. The show is on display thru May with concerts on 5/30 and 5/31 @ifoundleon
Meet Composer Sarah Whitnah! Sarah is new to the project this year, and we couldn't be more excited to have her on board! Come hear her violin, flute, and piano piece called "A Girl's Best Friend," inspired by the performers' pups! One of our favorite parts of this project is the input students get to have in the themes and tone of their piece, and this work highlights this perfectly!

You can't tell in these videos, but it was SO hot in the Tank that day (close to 100 degrees) and my bluetooth pedal overheated and stopped working. I don't think I've ever sweat so much or had brain fog from heat. We only had a few takes in us due to the heat. And as soon as the sun went down and the temperature dropped drastically, my violin pegs popped out of tune and it ruined one of the takes.
But we worked hard and the end product is SO cool! The things we do for art, right?
