This beloved species is unmistakable to anyone who's spent time in the Great Lakes State, and is easily identifiable thanks to its defining characteristics: a white nose slathered in zinc oxide, knee-high socks paired with sandals, and a generally relaxed demeanor 😀
Equal parts celebration and spectacle, the Michigan Snowbirds are a love letter to everything that makes Midwest summers worth coming home to — baseball, BBQs, beaches, and more. They’ll be touching down at LMCU Ballpark on August 1, 2026.

On Sunday, we were proud to honor Bryan Ergang of Wyoming as our Hometown Hero.
Bryan served in the US Army from 1969-1971 and fought in the Vietnam War. After Bryan's service in Vietnam, Former Vice President Spiro Agnew presented him with 2 Bronze Stars w/ Valor. Bryan was also awarded 2 Purple Hearts for his bravery and heroism.
His drive to put others before himself was passed on to his own children - a teacher, a detective, and a police chief, all serving West Michigan!
He came home and continued to serve our local youth. Bryan spent 38 years coaching baseball and umpiring across West Michigan, and took 2 of his teams all the way to the Little League World Series.
Bryan, thank you for joining us. We honor your sacrifices, your service, and the generations of mentorship you've given to West Michigan's young baseball fans!

For every strikeout 'Caps pitchers record at home, $5 is donated to @feedingwestmich !
This last homestand, our pitchers struck out 52 batters which means another $260 raised to help strike out hunger!
