We’re massively excited to announce that we’ll be releasing a live album on 25/03 - ‘Boisterous Live (& Other Animals)’
This is a mix of songs from our debut album ‘Boisterous Love’ which was released in July last year, along with all 3 tracks from our ‘HARM’ EP (2019)
The recording is from our Boisterous Love UK album tour & was recorded at Rough Trade in Bristol by James King, who also mixed the album. Mastering was done by our very own bass man, Corey Carruthers-Bell. Corey also assembled the artwork using photos from this show taken by Paul F Cook
The release date of this album is significant as it’s the same date that Ogives Big Band performed live for the first time, back in 2017. This performance was originally intended to be a one off for a solo Ogives show, but ultimately led to the formation of a more permanent iteration of Ogives as a full band and separate entity.

It’s somewhat bittersweet as Spotify pays artists almost nothing, and as much as it’s a necessary evil for most artists to reach more listeners, it’s still a shame that it’s so widely used.

'Strain' is due for release 25/10/24 and will be pressed on solid blue colour vinyl.
