Despite the hiccups… we keep it moving.
Whack Donuts is celebrating 2 years in our brick & mortar by bringing it back outside — our THIRD community event in front of the shop.
We’re hosting a FREE 5v5 breaking crew battle for the people.
Date update: Sept 26 no longer works — new date dropping soon October 24TBD, stay locked in.
This isn’t just an event — it’s about building space for the community through dance, music, and connection.
Pull up for:
• Live 5v5 breaking battles
• DJ sets
• Giveaways
• All-ages activities
• Community line dance to close it out
We’re also celebrating the Bay Area’s deep roots in breaking culture while marking 2 years of pushing forward no matter what.
Whack Donuts has fought through a lot just to keep these doors open — break-ins, construction blocking visibility, loss of network — and we’re still here. Still creating. Still showing up for the community.
To make this happen, we’re raising $4,200 to cover production and keep this free — and to continue doing events like this moving forward.
We’re looking for:
• In-kind sponsors
• Fiscal donations
• Volunteers
Huge love to our in kind sponsors:
Al Pastor Papi
Garden Creamery
Rise Up Bakery
Square Pie Guys
Counter Culture Coffee
Sidewalkjuice
Additional support from:
BreakKonect
All The Way Live (major help with permits and dance floors)

Have you ever tried a pandan donut before?
Our Flavor of the Month brings together a pandan-inspired donut with smooth vanilla glaze, toasted coconut, and a subtle nutty sweetness that keeps every bite balanced and flavorful. Soft, fragrant, and just the right amount of tropical.
Available all month long at Whack Donuts. Don’t miss out, because this donut is whack.

For the two-year anniversary of Whack Donuts, we’re launching a community fundraiser to help support the next chapter of Whack Donuts and continue creating free community events throughout San Francisco.
Over the past two years, Whack Donuts has grown from an apartment-based idea into a storefront, community space, and platform for bringing people together through food, art, and movement. With the support of the community, we successfully organized and hosted multiple public events from 2024 into this past year — and the goal is to continue building more events like these, by the community and for the community.
Our fundraising goal is $4,200 total by early October.
We’re aiming to raise the first half $2,200 over the next few months, then close out the remaining amount by October.
We’re currently accepting:
Financial donations through our GoFundMe
In-kind donations
In-person donations directly at the shop
Every contribution no matter the amount genuinely helps and goes directly toward:
Future community events
Equipment and production support
Expanding operations
Creating more accessible spaces for art, movement, and connection
If you’ve supported us by pulling up, reposting, ordering donuts, attending events, or spreading the word thank you. None of this would be possible without the community behind it, and we’re excited to keep building together.

Small business Week 2026. Spoke on a panel tonight with some awesome new friends sharing our unfiltered journeys navigating the world of small business in SF, from getting collateral , pivoting when things go south, growth and expansion, etc. We laughed, got deep, answered questions from the audience while also giving honest insight on how we feel the city can better support small business as well as pointing "some" of things that are working. I'm currently channelling Andy from shawshank redemption when it comes to hope. " hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies" Thanks again to SF Public Library for putting this on everyone involved . Keep supporting small business daily.

Sticker evolution for whackdonuts branding. In a former life I got my BA in graphic design, however realized I couldn't do everything as I began to level up with the business. Thankful to my college professors for showing me the wonderful world of design, first sticker I did myself just keeping it simple. Next sticker my good friend @mikkofmc a fellow dancer & graphic designer surprised me with an original hand style 🤯 to use, as well as another donut logo from an earlier concept he tried before the handstyle
. Being that I'm a 90s kid I also wanted a character to go along with the brand and had a vision ,yet no time to fully flesh out the design. That's when I reached out to the homie @emagn1 super talented local artist , we worked with each other in the non profit sector long time ago and both have the same circle of hip-hop friends. I commissioned him to do this piece and he knocked out the park, capturing my dance background, my style and of course my love for donuts. The last sticker came about from one of my dj homies during soul glaze Sundays @kingbeatsme , I again hit up mikko to see if he was up to the challenge and he crushed it.
Long story yes, but I have talented friends who helped me see my vision and know my connection to hip- hop culture with the business. Super thankful for the friends I've made through this journey . Thank you again 🙏
