The store is open in LA until April 19th @ctgla ! Get your tix :). Feels so special to open the show in this city. This is our 5th city on our six city tour. We will be in San Diego next (opening May 15). I am so incredibly proud of my friend and collaborator @choiinsurp , a wonderful artist and human who has given us such a beautiful story for both the stage and TV. I first directed this play 15 years ago with him playing the son in a 200 seat theatre. Now he is playing the father in a 2000 seat venue, to come back to this work after we have both grown and have teens of our own has been a dream and an honour. We have the most an AMAZING CAST and CREW, the whole journey has been a joy. Thank you @ablanshay1 @pemberleyproductions @soulpeppertheatre for getting behind this tour, and all of you who have come out to see it and support its success!

Kennedy Station was our spot as teenagers, full of laughter, big energy, and hope for what was ahead. The trip down memory lane was epic!!! Now, seeing Weyni honoured there feels unreal. It hits different. Watching her shine so bright for the whole city makes us so proud. This Black History Month, we celebrate her brilliance, her hard work, and her light. From those joyful days at Kennedy to this powerful full circle moment. SCARBOROUGH and Toronto shine brighter because of you. They churned butter, washed clothes, mended garments, and even visited an 18th-century courtroom — all to step into their characters’ shoes and gain a deeper understanding of the lives and challenges of women at the time.   Because in THE WELKIN, when these everyday women are suddenly asked to sit on a jury, the chores don’t stop, even when someone’s life is on trial.   On stage beginning September 3.
