Thank you to everyone who joined us at our ’68 Collective event on the realities of immigration detention and the systemic failures driving today’s crisis. Our VP of U.S. Advocacy and Litigation, Anthony Enriquez, took attendees inside the front lines of immigration litigation and policy reform at KHRC. He unpacked how prolonged detention, due process violations, and outdated legislation granting federal officers sweeping powers with minimal oversight are not isolated failures, but the result of a system built on long-standing potential for abuse of power that Congress has repeatedly refused to remedy. Thank you @wethebench_ for hosting us! Visit the link in our bio to learn more about our work & how you can get involved with the ‘68 Collective!

The State of the Union speech might’ve been a snooze, but our watch party was anything but. From toasting to debating, heckling to connecting, you all proved once again that political moments like these are meant to be shared. What should our next event be? 👀

Last night was really fun. Thank you to everyone who came out to watch, laugh, and side-eye together. We’re still buzzing over the energy in the room — we simply must do it again. To get in on the next one, subscribe to @who_brokeit , our newsletter about the messy, fascinating space where politics and the internet meet. 📸 @gallerybygeve

TONIGHT! Congratulations! We’re freeing you from the daunting prospect of watching Trump’s biggest speech of the year alone in your apartment. Entertainment is something we believe is compatible with, if not essential to, political engagement.  With that in mind, we bring you a carefully selected group of people together to sync, think, and drink about the state of our union. Here’s what the night has in store:  🍸🍕 — We’ll start with food and drinks to take the edge off in getting to know new people 🗣️🔥 — Then it’s time to share your hottest political takes and put them up for debate (start thinking!) 🎙️💬 — Finally, settle in for the show, with live commentary, fact checks + bingo to keep us engaged (Don’t worry, the open bar will, in fact, be open throughout.) Meet your hosts for the evening: Our very own Bench member, @grayyyy , is a @therecount OG who recently launched “Who Broke It” @who_brokeit on @substack , covering the emerging in-crowds and imminent crash outs in political content creation.   @alexxmedia hosts the brand new YouTube call-in show “AM Mornings” — you can also see him co-hosting @officialflagrant and running a budding podcast studio empire.  @wethebench_ gives you all — from the politically curious to the all-out addicted — a place to meet, programming to watch, and the space to create the future of media and politics.  RSVP 🔗 in bio
