Aunt Marla will always be an amazing role model and inspiration to our family. Her faith and spirit sustain us even though every one of us feels heartbroken by her loss. Love you so much Aunt Marla - I wish I knew how to articulate it better - I miss you so much already.

Larry was one of the best people in rowing and a towering role model. He cared so much about athletes at every level, kept learning, listening, and sharing with everyone. He took a chance on me as an assistant coach in 2004 and that allowed me to stay in the US and continue my life in rowing. There were so many little things he did around a boathouse, practice, regatta site, or erg room that made the environment more professional, cheerful, and productive - he integrated so many pieces seemingly effortlessly but such rationality. I think I speak for a lot of your former oarsmen and colleagues Larry when I say that we will have lots of stories to share and we are far better people for having worked with you (the last video in this series gave me chills when I heard your voice from the launch)

This was a picture our nieces sent us from this exact date last year at the @franklininstitute I looked really hard at the photo evidence and did not see global pandemic...keep the faith everyone
