Opening Reception for my solo “let it Grow” at @dublinarts I want to express my gratitude to the Dublin Arts Council for hosting my solo exhibition here. This venue has always been one of my dream locations to showcase my work. I pass by this spot almost every day on my way to work and while running errands. It truly is a beautiful part of Dublin, especially in the fall when the large ginkgo tree turns a brilliant yellow, and sunlight filters through the leaves onto the building. Every year, I can’t help but be captivated by its beauty.
A big thank you to Raygan, Paige, and Nick for all their help in preparing the show!
This exhibition features my earliest artworks from my MFA program up to the present, with my newest piece titled “I Bought a New Purse.” My earlier works focused on telling the stories of new motherhood. For a while, I delved into my “Armor” collection, which explores how parents protect their children. Now, I am shifting my focus towards personal growth. I believe that as children grow more independent and develop their own thoughts, my role is to become a better version of myself, allowing them to learn from my actions.
As you can see, many of my works are inspired by natural elements and textures. I am grateful to have grown up in a small village surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, and I appreciate the vibrant community where I currently live. Our beautiful city, with its four distinct seasons, reminds me so much of my hometown. I am thankful for my wonderful family and dear friends who continuously support me. I truly enjoy being both a mom and an artist. Let’s keep creating together!
My new artworks series inspired by the five elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—are a captivating exploration of traditional philosophy and modern artistry. Each piece represents one of the elements through unique shapes, colors, and textures, showcasing the harmonious balance and the interaction between them. 12x12 each, polymer clay, Aug-Nov,2025. #五行元素 #金木水火土 #polymerclayartist #ohioartscouncil #mcconnellartscenter #greatcolumbusartscouncil #artmakescolumbus #dublinartscouncil
