I’m Orwell, a brand designer and strategist that crafts simple, powerful ideas that cut through the noise and get results.
I can help your brand in three ways:
– *Positioning* based on your strengths that only you can deliver
– *Strategy* that emphasises your difference so you offer what your competitors can’t
– *Branding* that stands out in the market to catch attention and drive people to take action
Let me show you some of my work..
Last week I shared the stage with excellent people at Athens Music Week discussing how brands can turn attention into growth.
Thanks @msamusicservices , @mariowicz , @phbs_90 and Raj Kalyani for the stimulating conversation and to @athens.music.week for the invitation
The problem isn’t that you don’t know branding, it’s that you think you do.
You’ve seen how great branding all your life. You’re reading this on your iPhone, you build your startup from your Mac vibe-coding with the latest sleek products. You see perfect branding with every scroll and wear brands that make you feel something.
You've absorb these signals every moment of your life and thought that meant you know how to do it yourself – you and AI, unstoppable together.. Except, what you actually learned is what a good logo looks like, how premium glossy visuals feel and the colour combinations you like the best.
But do you know how to position a challenger to take on the big guns?
Afters is for finding underground parties in Berlin. There are so many ways people can find parties from Resident Advisor to posters on lampposts. The easy CTA for a brand like Afters is "Find Underground Parties in Berlin". Short, clear, to the point,
But most people already search on Resident Advisor, how would that line convince them to change their behaviour and search Afters? Unfortunately being a "cooler" app doesn't motivate many people. With a clear strategy, I delivered a way in that RA could never hope for.
Afters pulls from sources where line ups are posted last minute or after the event – Telegram groups, fan websites, Soundcloud – and being for people in the scene, they're the kind of folk who go to a party for the vibe and look up DJs after the fact.
So I did the opposite of what you'd expect.
If you want to know who you just danced to, ask Afters.
Instead of being yet another place to find parties in the future, I found a key moment the target audience has a problem that Afters is uniquely positioned to solve and built the strategy around it. No one can compete, because no one else works like Afters.
Problem -> Strategy -> Branding
No one is wating to buy from your brand. You have to show them why you're the right choice. Your AI generated brand and copy ain't going to cut it (even Lovable paid real experts to create their brand).
If you're ready to stop vibing your brand and want to cut through the noise, drop me a DM.
Music discovery is broken.
Spotify plays, Instagram following and TikTok virality are vanity metrics dressed as insight. Ticketing algorithms choose who gets seen and who gets buried and magazines sell their covers to the highest bidder. All while venues close and club culture is shifted out of the cities.
Where can we discover the DJs who keep us dancing all night?
Afters.

More coming soon.
Last week we returned to Berlin for three incredible talks by guest speakers @sonya_mudvex , @whydobirds.de and @studio_helder .
It is always so good to see the community come together for a look behind the curtain. Huge thanks to our host @weiter.studio and the team @workish.berlin for their on–going support.
In May we will be doing it all again but this time we are partnering with @heydesignerin for a special collaborative event to celebrate FLINTA freelance creatives in Berlin. Tickets available via Eventbrite and Luma now!

More from the Biofitness rebrand
People find Biofitness online but the real impact of the brand is in the real world.
Bringing the brand into clothing makes sure people can rep the life changing brand in it's natural habitat, the gyms, fitness studios and sweaty places of the world.
Thanks to @kyle_biofitness1 and @shann_biofitness for being excellent partners in the process!
