3D typeface design is a rather unexplored field, but one that holds great potential. In view of new technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality, which will increasingly find their way into our everyday lives over the next few years, 3D typography will also play an important role.
Studio Weholo’s installation addresses this subject and enables the creation of 3D lettering that can then be placed in your own environment via web augmented reality through a printed QR code.
We showed the installation at creators*forum in the Designforum Vienna.
