"Tenderly there" – an exhibition by @tashattot.collective at @fomuantwerp – an honour and pleasure to write the exhibition text and essay "Voorbij de universele queer/beyond the global queer". About blue haired baristas, hijacked imaginations and fluidity that cannot be disciplined.

🛶Next step, Same river 🛶 This triptych belongs to a series of 6 paintings. At its core, the work critiques the cycle of erosion of human and women’s rights as well as the dangers of passive acceptance. The title of the project “Other Step, Same River” subverts the well-known adage that “you never step in the same river twice,” instead implying that while individuals evolve, the systemic forces they face remain unchanged. The invocation of Ophelia—a figure defined by surrender—stands in stark contrast to the other triptych’s energy of defiance, offering an alternative vision of resistance, which I will show at a later date. Work shown at @artbrussels with @tatjanapietersgallery - Next Step Same River III, oil on linen, 100 x 100 cm, 2025, Private Collection #ilkecop #belgianart @hans.gevaert

[Gallery Night by Art Brussels] Join us tonight to (re)discover ‘Ham Sāya Kouh Hā (On the Mountain Side, in the Shadow)’ curated by Emile Drousie (@emiloudd ) at Galerie Eric Mouchet Brussels, from 5 to 9 pm. ➞ Av. van Volxem 333, 1190 Forest (Brussels) ➞ Art Brussels 2026: ‘Palmless Manoeuvre’ by Eva L’Hoest (@evalhoest & @artbrussels ) ‘Ham Sāya Kouh Hā’ draws from the geographical and mental progression across a paradoxical landscape—half refuge, half dead end. From arid slopes to fertile furrows, from scarred neighborhoods to blooming hills, the exhibition sketches a panorama of identity and artistic ridgelines. All the way from the immersion suggested by Feroza Hakeem within a nature that encapsulates loss and memory, to the ultimate gathering under the combative banner of Kubra Khademi, and through the patient memorial gestures of Latifa Zafar Attaii, and the modest search for origins within the layers of oral and familial history initiated by Parwana Haydar, artists collectively lean towards this horizon like a mirage, so close and yet so far, known in Persian as the “mountain behind the mountains.” - Emile Drousie With works by Elyas Alavi (@elyasalavi ), Sher Ali (@sher_ali.h ), Feroza Hakeem (@feroza_hakeemofficial ), Parwana Haydar (@parwanahaydar ), Ibrar Hussain (@ib_hussain0 ), Fati Khademi (@fatiikhademi ), Kubra Khademi (@kubra.khademi ), Fazil Mousavi (@fazilmousavi ), Ali Rahimi (@ali_rahimi_painter ), Mohammad Sabir Sabir (@moh.sabir_sabir ), Mohsin Taasha (@mohsintaasha ) & Latifa Zafar Attaii (@lati_zafar_attaii ) 📸 Galerie Eric Mouchet Brussels, 2025. © We Document Art (@wedocumentart

Now managing socials for @galerieericmouchet with @blob.antwerp 🖌️ Galerie Eric Mouchet primarily represents young contemporary artists with forward-looking practices. Their research topics focus on geopolitics, sociology, ecology, social issues, and gender, without limitation to media or form. The gallery also has expertise in French and German historical avant-gardes, enabling connections between 20th-century art and contemporary art. In 2022, the gallery opened a space in Brussels on Avenue Van Volxem, opposite WIELS. Housed in a 400 m² townhouse with three exhibition floors and a garden, the space—developed in partnership with Galerie Martin Kudlek (Cologne) and Patrick Heide Contemporary Art (London)—fosters European collaboration and the circulation of artists and artworks. Currently: 🇧🇪 Ham Sāya Kouh Hā, curated by @emiloudd until May 16th 🇫🇷 Printemps Paramétrique, @pierreg666 , April 18th until June 13th ➕ @artbrussels with @evalhoest solo, booth 5B-41 @brussels_expo , April 23rd until April 26th

A rare and exceptional artwork by Bengt Lindström, uniquely painted on both sides. In the 1950s, before he had the financial means to work on canvas, Lindström used wooden panels as his medium. This particular piece showcases paintings on both sides of the panel—an extraordinary testament to his early resourcefulness and creativity. Framed in rich wenge wood, the artwork is mounted in a way that allows it to be displayed from either side, offering two striking compositions in one piece. A truly exceptional opportunity to acquire a rare and museum-worthy work by an iconic artist.
