________
WEBBER is pleased to present Incarcerated Scarfaces, a 4-artist installation with Awol Erizku, David Alekhougie, Unkle Luc, and Zora J Murff, on the occasion of Show LA 2026. The installation expands on a group text between Erizku, Alekhougie and Murff that has continued as a form of shared, ongoing inquiry. Together, the artists consider and re-address the intersections of media, art practice, and visual culture over time and in dialogue with other artists, world news, and personal archives.

No one remarked on any of this or on any of the other remarkable things each sensed but had no habit of language for, though felt often and deeply, privately.
Excerpt from Toni Cade Bambara, The Lesson
I think it rains
That tongues may loosen from the parch
Uncleave roof-tops of
the mouth, hang
Heavy with knowledge
Stanza from Wole Soyinka, I think it rains
