Excited to share the second in a series of films we filmed, directed and edited for @adobe and their ‘Aha! Moment’ campaign In this film we met @ashleyverse Focusing on a moment of realisation our contributors had while using Adobe software, we travelled around Europe meeting inspirational creatives who use the Adobe Creative Cloud to produce their unique work. Creating these commercials was a great exercise in telling an engaging story in a short amount of time, while ensuring the performance and delivery of our contributors felt as natural as possible. With a nimble crew travelling from one location to the next in a short amount of time, we filmed everything ourselves, delivering a colourful aesthetic which matched the personalities of the contributors we met in each film. We love working on projects like this, as it gives us the opportunity to explore new places and meet incredible people who are passionate about what they do. Feast your eyes on this culinary whistle stop tour around the world we directed and edited for @goustocooking and their Hungry Traveller campaign. The awesome team at Gousto approached us with a clearly defined creative for this project, and it was a truly collaborative effort from start to finish. With a complex set build, various camera moves, and a LOT of lines of dialogue to capture, we were lucky enough to be joined by a stellar crew and the incredible acting talent of @iamfinlay who was an absolute pro throughout! We absolutely love a good old travel job, as it gives us the opportunity to meet amazing people and film them in really unique situations. This time last year we accompanied @culturetrip on their inaugural ‘Trips’ trip to Iceland. NOISE!!! We had a lot of fun with @theuprise5 filming this ad for @oldelpasouk x @nfl , kicking off the #UnbelievablePlay campaign. With just a short window of time to capture A LOT of footage, we along with @sliced.studio worked closely with the creative team at @mcsaatchise to develop a fun and energetic script, while ensuring our process and shoot schedule was as streamlined as possible. Filming food always adds a layer of complication to any shoot, and this one was no exception. Luckily we had the amazing @loicparisot on set, preparing all of the ingredients and finished dishes in record time. As we needed to capture moments on green screen as well as the kitchen studio, we went over to our good old friends at @crixusstudios . Their setup allowed us to prep all the food in one studio, while we filmed everything in the other - check them out The day brought some pretty tricky supercut transitions, but Osi brought his game face and managed to breeze through everything with a huge amount of enthusiasm, which really shows in the final piece. Big shout out to @lauralouisecottle and assistant @daisyjtsmith for all their hard work making the set look incredible, as well as making sure each cut transition was as painless as possible. Excited to share this awesome ad we directed for the launch of the revolutionary #Stemdrop campaign in partnership with @samsung @tiktok Max Martin and @syco It was our first time working with DP @andreas_neo_dop who did an incredible job lighting each set to fit the tone and genre for each setup. This jam packed two day shoot at @parkroyalstudios was once again an opportunity to get creative with some popular Tiktok transitions, this time in front of some truly fantastic set builds by the @setsisters Taking inspiration from the ‘phone drop’ TikTok trend, this campaign shows a reflection of various musician's bedrooms, across a variety of genres. As this transition is normally filmed by creators on their phones, our main challenge was to replicate the illusion of the phone dropping, while using an incredibly heavy camera rig! These were four very tricky shots to get right, which were accomplished thanks to @movijd repeatedly following the falling phone countless times during the shoot. As with a lot of our work, we wanted to film this effect 'in camera' and not rely on CGI/animation techniques to achieve the finished result. This meant we had to be incredibly precise and have an amazing team around us, so huge thanks to our crew for their hard work, focus and dedication in bringing this complex shoot together. POST 3/3 …of our social ads for @barclaycard with @sliced.studio and @oliver_agency . It's easy to make transition videos look magical with animation and clever editing techniques, but it's even more impactful when everything's captured 'in camera', which is why when directing, we set out to achieve the effects for this project in a *practical* way right from the start. Taking this approach raised a number of challenges, which required a lot of planning and coordination to iron out. POST 1/3 This summer we directed a series of social ads for @barclaycarduk produced through our production company @sliced.studio and we're super excited to share them with you! Our experience working on this campaign was really unique and rewarding, as we were given the opportunity to collaborate with the amazing creative team at @oliver_agency to test and develop ideas for the scripts, resulting in the transitions for each video looking as fun and impactful as possible. These films were incredibly fun and complex to make, as we wanted them to look like a 'one take'. On top of this, we had built in the added complication of introducing camera movement, which ultimately meant we *literally* had to film everything in one go, in order to ensure that each camera cut would stitch together seamlessly in post - Big shout out to our DOP @rickymundo_ for being solid as a rock in his camera rig for 3 days straight without complaining once!
