Sensitive topic: This post contains references to pregnancy and childbirth. Public figures including @thewhitmore , @adjoa.andoh , @beverleyknight , @mrsgifletcher , @myleeneklass , @yomi.adegoke , @sandeeigwe @drranj , Sir Stephen Fry and Sir Mark Rylance are calling on world leaders to act. Right now, millions of women are being failed by the systems meant to keep them safe during childbirth. Clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene are not luxuries. They are the foundation of safe healthcare. Yet too many health care facilities still operate without them, putting mothers, babies and healthcare workers at risk. This is preventable. The solutions exist. Now world leaders must act to deliver clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene in health care facilities everywhere. Thanks to you, over $30 million has already been raised for #TeamWater and the work is already underway to help 2 million people gain access to clean water.   In Rwanda, an incredible team has laid over 10 miles of pipe to bring clean water directly to communities. Until now, families only received piped water one day out of every 12. Today, a brand-new water kiosk means 12,000 people can count on clean, reliable water for decades to come.   This impact is only possible thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors and the support of partners like Hogan Lovells helping us get closer to our $40 million goal.   Together, we’re making clean water a reality.    👉 Give to #TeamWater by clicking the link in our bio!

A portrait taken in January whilst in Malawi for WaterAid capturing images for their Time To Deliver campaign, a project I felt truly passionate about and was honoured to be commissioned for. Every two seconds, a woman gives birth in a healthcare facility without clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. World leaders have the power to fix this at the UN Water Conference in December. Join women and health workers in calling on leaders to respond to women’s demands and fund clean water in every health centre, worldwide. Visit @wateraid to find out more and sign the petition. Here Brenda, 19 is captured whilst staying at a guardian shelter awaiting childbirth. Healthcare facility, Central Region, Malawi. The 2nd image is a view into the post delivery ward at the same healthcare facility with no running water.

Every two seconds, a woman gives birth without access to clean water. As parents, we spend so much time getting ready for birth - packing the bag, planning for comfort, making sure our babies are safe. But one of the most basic essentials is something millions still go without. Clean water isn’t a luxury. It’s critical for safe, hygienic care during and after birth. Without it, the risk of infection for both mum and baby rises dramatically. This is a global issue - but it’s also one we can help change. I’m supporting @wateraidaustralia Australia and their Time to Deliver campaign, calling for clean water and hygiene for every mother, everywhere. If you’d like to help, you can sign the petition via the link in my IG stories.

Pack my maternity bag with me🫶🏽 Every 2 seconds a mum gives birth without clean water and access to basic hygiene. All mums should be excited to pack their maternity bag thinking about what will give them comfort, and safety. Rather than managing this life changing moment with no water for their midwife to sanitise their hands or to clean their baby once they’re born. This is a global problem..with a simple solution. WaterAid is calling on world leaders to fund clean water for every mother at every birth. It’s 2026 ffs. If you want to help in anyway then please sign the petition linked in bio to help make this change.

Every two seconds a woman gives birth without access to clean water or hygiene facilities. Expectant mums around the world dream of their baby’s future, loving them long before they arrive and preparing with care. But depending on where she gives birth, what she packs can mean the difference between survival and comfort. From razor blades, bleach and plastic sheets to smart phones, breast pumps and cotton wool, we’re revealing the deep injustice shaping maternal health globally. Access to clean water is a right, not a privilege. Women around the world are standing up to demand change. Join them and sign our petition at the link in bio to demand world leaders take action. #timetodeliver #wateraid #cleanwater #aroundtheworld

You did this 💙 Because of your support, clean, reliable water is now flowing in Vola’s community in Madagascar. That means fewer long walks for water. Better health. More time for school, work and family life. It’s easy to forget how powerful a small, regular action can be. But your generosity is restoring health, dignity and opportunity for generations to come. Clean water changes everything.

Water is everything for a race. A beautiful day on a gorgeous lake makes for the best racing conditions. But what if the lake you have has run dry? For the 1 in 10 people living without reliable water access, a drought upends everything, like this fishing community near Lake Chilwa, Malawi. WaterAid brings water solutions to communities that need them. Deep boreholes to find water in arid regions, or rainwater harvesting tanks that collect and store water for drier seasons, are just some of our many approaches. From drinking wells, to racing well - everything starts with water.

WaterAid is proud to join Water Forward, a new World Bank mission to improve water security for up to 1 billion people by 2030. In a turbulent world, people’s access to clean water is the one thing we can all agree on — yet 700 million people still live without it. Here, young water leaders from around the world share why change starts with water. Water Forward will bring together governments, finance, philanthropy and business to scale up investment and improve water security for up to 1 billion people by 2030. WaterAid will be there every step of the way — helping more people get the clean water they need and working alongside communities, women and young leaders to ensure this investment delivers real change for those who need it most.
