On 1 April 2026, I had the privilege of representing as a Cambodian Chevening Scholar at the 5th UK-ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting at Wilton Park, as part of the first cohort of the Chevening-ASEAN Scholarship. @wiltonpark is one of the UK government’s most respected spaces for international policy dialogue, a place where decision-makers from around the world come to turn ideas into action. Being in that room, representing not just Cambodia but the voices of communities I serve, was both humbling and deeply meaningful. As a community developer working at the intersection of climate change and WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene), I brought one core belief into every conversation: the most effective policies are those rooted in real community needs. Empowering bottom-up approaches to meet top-down decisions is where lasting change is made. This journey from community to sub-national, national, regional, and now international would not have been possible without Chevening. This scholarship @cheveningfcdo is not just an opportunity to pursue a master’s degree at a prestigious university in the UK with a great reputation in the development field. It is a platform to grow as a leader, deepen impact, and build a network of changemakers across the globe. I am also deeply grateful to the Cambodian distinguished delegates and His Excellency for the honour of this shared space, to the Wilton Park team for their outstanding hospitality, and to all my fellow Chevening ASEAN Scholars for your spirit, kindness, and solidarity remind me every day why this community is so special. I am proud to stand as one ASEAN representative, and even prouder to be part of this family ASEAN. 🌏❤️ #Chevening #CheveningASEAN #UKASEAN #ClimateChange #wash

On 13th March 2025, I had the extraordinary honour of accompanying His Majesty King Charles III through the immersive exhibition at the Water and Climate Reception at Buckingham Palace, hosted by His Majesty in support of WaterAid. During the walkthrough, I had the privilege of explaining the powerful messages behind the three short films that highlighted how the climate crisis is fundamentally a water crisis. The films explored the devastating impact of floods and droughts, the importance of clean water in building climate resilience through adaptation, and the transformative power of sustainable water solutions because change starts with water. Why should we be concerned? Because almost 1 in 10 people worldwide don’t have access to clean water, and weather-related disasters have increased by 400% over the last 50 years. By 2040, 1 in 4 children will live in places where there isn’t enough water. These numbers are a stark reminder of why urgent action is needed. It was an honour for me to share my personal experience to His Majesty about my works in Cambodia, where, with support from WaterAid Cambodia. As a youth leader advocating for climate resilience, water security, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), and gender equality, this was more than just a conversation, it was an opportunity to raise my voice, share Cambodia’s story, and underscore the urgent need for action. Thank you, Your Majesty, for the meaningful exchange and for recognising the importance of youth-led solutions in the fight against the climate and water crisis. A heartfelt thank you to @wateraid for giving me the incredible opportunity to represent Cambodia as a youth leader at the Water and Climate Reception at Buckingham Palace. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to accompany His Majesty King Charles III through the immersive exhibition, where I had the chance to raise my voice on behalf of my people and community. Start with water, stand for change! 🌍💧✨ #WaterIsLife #ClimateResilience #WaterWaterWater #ClimateCrisisIsWaterCrisis #WaterAid #RoyalReception

I was born a girl with big dreams, but I never thought they could become a reality. I almost gave up pursuing my dream to come to this country, but in the end, it was that dream that pushed me to be here. I’m proud to say that I successfully graduated from the YSEALI Academic Fellowship program in Spring 2024 as part of the @yseali_official . The 5 weeks I spent in the United States were truly priceless - I learned so much that I never knew before. I feel honored to have been one of only 25 fellows selected as leaders from across Southeast Asia. I’m deeply grateful to @mansfield_center for providing me with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop my professional career and leadership experience. Thanks US Embassy Cambodia for providing me this opportunity to enhance my potential. Many thanks the lecturers and coordinators offered me so many valuable insights during those 5 weeks. And I’ll never forget the wonderful memories I made with the other fellows in the program. I never forget you all. Finally, I want to thank everyone who has been supportive of me along the way. Your encouragement means my world ❤️❤️.

2025 has been the year of my greatest transformation. It tested my patience, my mindset, my confidence, my self-respect, and my boundaries in ways I never imagined. Through every challenge, I learned that before reaching meaningful achievements, we must first walk through obstacles that strengthen our spirit and shape who we are becoming. I am deeply grateful for every moment, both the beautiful and the difficult, because each one taught me something valuable. I appreciate every person who came into my life this year: those who supported me, believed in me, stood by me, and reminded me of my worth even when I doubted myself. Thank you to my mentors, seniors, colleagues, and friends for your constant encouragement and unwavering belief in me. Your words, guidance, and trust gave me strength to keep moving forward. Thank you to my family, for your endless love, sacrifices, and support, your presence is truly priceless and my greatest foundation. This year shaped me, grounded me, and prepared me for what’s ahead. I step into the next chapter stronger, wiser, and more aligned with myself. Goodbye 2025. Welcome 2026. I’m ready ✨ Credit template: CapCut
