Faces like these work on haunting and inspiring in me enough courage needed to ask myself the question, how much is enough? No matter how often I postpone the need to tackle that question, the beautiful people, places and organisations I’m surrounded by show me ways of being in this world that go beyond the framework of my own desires. Thank you to all the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’ who are showing me that way!

A sea of Namibian dunes roll off into the mountains of southern Angola. I took this right in the North Western corner of Namibia’s skeleton coast, just shy of the Kunene River, which borders the two countries. . . . #namibia #angola #desert #dunes #kaokoland #travel #deserttravel #wearewilderness

Filming with this small Himba village has been a first for me. Thanks to the unassuming stillness of this humble people, some beautiful moments revealed themselves amidst the familiar frenzy of my mind’s eye in situations like these, as if by coaxing out that equally familiar ‘flow’ we all crave from our craft. Like any visual storyteller with that canvas to play with - I’m left overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you @wearewilderness for providing such an awe inspiring adventure. #namibia #himba #traveldeeper #africa #travel #kunene #kuneneriver #desert #africantribes

A classic pre-dawn scene in Kafue's Busanga Plains, Zambia. A slow rising Puku in the morning mist [for those in the know, please call me out hard if this is a Lechwe] #zambia #layers #wildernesssafaris #wildlife #travel #greenrenaissance #moody #predawn #moreplease

A few shots from a return trip to Mafia Island for a sustainable fishing project @wwf_uk and @wwftanzania manage with local communities. I’m very grateful for how the relentless challenges always seemed to reveal themselves as opportunities to witness beautiful moments - as if like some bright neon sign screaming 🚧 YOUR WAY IS LAME....RATHER TRY THIS ON FOR SIZE🚧‼️ Being allowed to use our craft as a way of immersing ourselves in a community’s raw, subsistence way of life is pure heaven. Thank you for the experience. ————————————— #greenrenaissance #wwf #tanzania #africa #subsistence #mafiaisland #fisherman #africansunset #sustainablefishing #indianocean #dhow #tradtional #fishing

My respect and gratitude to the men and women who willingly put themselves in harms way to protect our natural heritage. Many pay the ultimate price. It’s remarkable to see what positive change they are capable of achieving with the right support from the individuals and organisations who relentlessly back their efforts right on the front lines of conservation. Well done @africanparksnetwork and @garamba_national_park #conservation #africa #wildlife #frontlines #rangers #drc #democraticrepublicofcongo #change #changemakers #greenrenaissance

What a privilege it is being back in the D.R.C for @africanparksnetwork I’m filming in and around Garamba National Park - one of the many areas under their management. The D.R.C has a richer biodiversity and more natural World Heritage Sites than any other African country. Being here again makes me realize the significance of the work African Parks are doing here and the beacon of hope @garamba_national_park represents for conservation. It is awe inspiring to learn of it’s history and the men and women who literally give their lives to this area - it’s wildlife and it’s people.
