We spent most of May on a roadtrip to the west coast and back. How often do you go on an adventure? I was due.
Bridget and I, gunning it through northern Texas in our 2010 Highlander on roads so straight you don’t touch the steering wheel for an hour. Hurtling past the flat endless expanse (and cows) of America. It was different, it was new, it was a challenge, I loved it. Your world can always get bigger! I let that fill my lungs.
We couldn’t have done it without friends and family, new and old, welcoming us into their homes all along our trip. We’re so lucky to have caring, cool, thoughtful people in our lives. Sharing your cities, friends, and floors made me feel like I knew you even better. What a gift.
I never take videos but I really tried to make a point of it this trip. The reel is everything I thought to capture – so much more was missed. Obviously Bridget took incredible photos, I’m sure they’ll find their way on here soon.
Happy birthday, Bridget! I’m so lucky to have met my best friend, my life (and birthday) partner, the funniest person I know, and a passionately empathetic creative talent, in one gorgeous goose.

I’m so lucky I get to adventure into 30 with you. So many awesome people have said so many lovely and kind things about you today, it’s hard to find my own. That outpouring of love speaks to how close together you bring those you share space with. You impress me everyday.
