I’ve been invited by @archives.nia to deliver a presentation @vam_east this Saturday on the precursors to Jungle. Documenting influences, technology, pirate radio, white labels and dubplates, and disecting pivotal tunes in the process. This will follow with a panel discussion from voices who were there, and also new inheritors of the sound.

Joining us on the 18th, Jason, AKA Warlock brings a life in the underground to the fair. From the early days of pirate radio through to today’s club circuit, he’s seen it all.
His collection reflects exactly that. Expect a deep and unpredictable selection spanning hardcore, jungle, DnB, electro, breaks, techno, house and beyond. All shaped by someone deeply involved in the scene.

Mash Up di Bass invites you to a night full of wobbling rhythms and UK oriented sounds. Headliner of the evening is Warlock (London), who hosts a weekly show on Kool FM and is behind the renowned Rag & Bone imprint. Sets typically fuse together disparate styles and beats inflected with Bass, Techno, Breaks, Club, Juke, Electro, whilst also drawing upon all manner of retro beats known and unknown. 📣 Hybrid Rave is back at the Piper with another awesome line up and they're excited to welcome the amazing DJ WARLOCK as headliner!
🔮 Warlock has been DJing since 1989, constantly seeking out new music from emerging genres since starting out on London pirate radio (Pulse FM) back in the days of acid house and Hardcore.
💫 Now hosting a weekly show on Kool FM, he is currently immersed in the bass music scene and behind the renowned Rag & Bone imprint. Expect bass, techno, breaks, club, juke, electro and more whilst also drawing upon all manner of retro beats
🌀 Warlock and Kim Cosmik played together at many Spiral Tribe and Bedlam events back in the day and recently at the Free Party documentary launch in Bristol. They continue to seek out and champion new music without being genre specific while fusing wildstyle.
💥 Kim Cosmik is a producer and DJ whose signature sound is futuristic, experimental, electro, techno, breaks and bass music.
🐒 Infinite Monkeys is a collective based in London. The collective combines live visuals and improvised music.
🍌 The collective has performed at arts festivals, experimental music events and venues and urban raves and one the first Friday of every month on Netil radio. Infinite Monkeys are available for adoption.
