Hi. It’s been a while. Not that active on IG these days but wanted to share a small sticker pack I’ve worked on.⁣ ⁣ Conspiracy theories are nothing new. They’ve been used to help people understand or deal with things that are hard to grasp. From the pyramids, to aliens, to the JFK assassination, people have found ‘alternative truths’ to explain things that had big impacts on their life.⁣ ⁣ In 1991 Bill Cooper, a former Navy Man, released ‘Behold A Pale Horse’, a highly impactful book that combined existing conspiracy texts with his own theories on aliens, the illuminati, JFK, the government, and more. The book became the entry point and manual of many conspiracy theories, including a slew of rappers. The book found a new audience through book sellers on Harlem’s 125th Street, who sold the book alongside works of Malachi York and 5%er theology.⁣ ⁣ (continued in comments)

“Welkom in Amsterdam, de stad die hét heeft. Bekend om haar eeuwenoude centrum, de historische grachtenpanden, kaas, Canal Bikes, koffieshops en Ajax.“⁣ ⁣ Extremely proud to introduce my first start-to-finish project for @adidasoriginals . And even more proud that it’s a project that’s close to my heart: a special release for @afcajax . Last summer the @adidasfootball team reached out with a request to add a shoe to their Ajax capsule, inspired by the club’s legendary ‘golden’ squad from the early 70s. Players like Cruijff, Swart, Keizer, Rinus Michels coaching, three consecutive European championships, World championship in 1972, the birth of total football… quite possibly the best club team to ever play the game. Needless to say I was hyped to work on this one. ⁣ ⁣ There were a few things to consider. First of all, time. The apparel collection was already done, launch date was set, and that meant there was only a week to get this done. No time for long sample rounds and experimental materials, and the colors were set to tie into the apparel. But, big bonus, we had to use the Ajax logo from the 70’s, a logo that is so special to the fans. I knew that @janewson was the perfect designer for the job, and we got this done in record time. We decided on a relevant shoe of that era, the Samba, quite possibly the most famous football shoe of all time. I made sure to add some key details to elevate this shoe above the standard ‘Samba with a team logo’ releases we’ve seen in the past and create something that will speak to the team’s loyal fanbase. Let’s break it down in the comment section below: ⁣

Hi. It’s been a while but I made some new slaps. ⁣ ⁣ S05E03 - The Dinner Party⁣ ⁣ Close to 30 years ago Larry David brought us one of the most iconic outerwear moments in TV history: George in his Gore-Tex jacket. Flipped the iconic logo and added the red detail from the R in the Gore-Tex logo. It’s worth a hell of a lot more than some cheap Chardonnay. ⁣ ⁣ #seinfeld #goretex #stickerwars

At @sneakerness in Amsterdam @petersonstoop introduced me to the @vibram team who offered the opportunity to resole a pair of my shoes. Sustainability is a hot topic in the industry right now, and one of the easiest way to be more sustainable is to wear and repair. I've always been a big fan of Vibram bottoms and I was lucky enough to work with their Boston team on a fun Reebok project that's coming later this season.⁣ ⁣ I am lucky enough to own two pairs of the first Gonz Aloha shoe, so I donated one pair to the team and let them work their magic. Due to the rubber sidewalls of the Gazelle Indoor sole they weren't able to do a full soleswap, so we ended on a new rubber sheet, using Vibram's latest eco compound in a nice maroon-ish tint. The result blew my mind, the new tooling fits absolutely perfect and looks like it has always been there. The color and lugs add a new vibe to the shoe, which has now been promoted from 'on ice' to 'in rotation'. Major thanks to @ab_traveller and his team! ⁣ ⁣ #adidasaloha #Vibram #RepairIfYouCare #YourConnectionToEarth #Sneakerness

New sticker.⁣ ⁣ As Jäy-Z (in his umlaut era) went from Levi's to Guess to Versace he at the same time warned us about greed and material lust, painting a vivid picture of a character who lets the demons inside them take over, falling victim to D'evils.⁣ ⁣ A logo flip dedicated to a stand out track from a classic album (should've went triple).⁣ ⁣ Thanks to @spencersamuels for the Photoshop assist.⁣ ⁣ #devils #dearlordiwondercanyousaveme #stickerwars #ineverpraidtogodipraidtogotti #levis #redtab #jayz

My earliest memories about Reebok aren't about Pump, Classics, or Dee Brown dunks: they're about soccer. And especially one guy, Dennis Bergkamp. This Dutch forward impressed during his time at Ajax, then transfered to Inter Milan, and became a global superstar when he joined Arsenal in 1995 (I ended up buying the Dreamcast sponsored Arsenal jersey in the summer of 1999, my first ever jersey purchase). Besides club football, he was a key player in the Dutch National Team, especially during the 1998 World Cup where his amazing goal in the last minute of regulation against Argentina in the quarter final brought the 'Orange' so close to going all the way (before tying with Brasil in the semi's and losing after penalties). And on his feet: Reeboks. Bergkamp signed with the brand when he still played with Ajax, and continued to wear them throughout his career. He had his own boot with the brand (that blue perf leather detail is 🔥), but also supported iconic silhouettes like the Sidewinder. ⁣ ⁣ When I moved to Boston to work at the Reebok Archive, my nostalgia for Reebok's 90s soccer models came back to me. As Reebok is no longer in soccer, chances of bringing back these models would be slim to none, the best effort was the size? exclusive Sidewinder inspired Daytona DMX from 2018. For a while I browsed eBay to see if I could find a pair of Reebok boots from that era, and give them a second life. A few months ago I struck gold while chatting with @ogheads , who has a serious collection of anything 90s, including soccer boots. I crossed my fingers for a Bergkamp Pro or the OG Sidewinder, he surprised me with the Reebok Sidewinder Evolution in black/red. This model received a write up in Popular Science Magazine in 1997, which highlighted its thermoplastic urethane ripple across the outer sole that resulted in 30 percent more surface area to grip the field, plus offered greated support and flexibility than regular studs. ⁣ ⁣ (continued in the comments)

New stickers. "Turn your speakers up, take a puff and you'll see exactly what I mean/⁣ Loud and clear be the unseen"⁣ ⁣ The Unseen by Quasimoto was released on Stones Throw records in 2000. When I first heard the album, it completely blew⁣ my mind. It showed me a brand new side of hiphop. The beats, the content, the voice, I wasn't used to any of this, but⁣ I wanted more of it. It was my first introduction to Madlib and Stones Throw as a label, and I was hooked. I lifted⁣ a key piece from the album's cover, designed by Jeff Jank, to create this sticker.⁣ ⁣ When most people think about Quasimoto as a character, they think of the (most of the time) yellow alien with a long snout, a cigarette (or joint) in his mouth and a brick in his hand. This character originally debuted on the Microphone Mathematics EP, which was designed by Keith Griego. He put three variations of that character on the cover, representing Madlib, Wildchild and DJ Romes of Lootpack. When Jeff Jank started working on the coverart for The Unseen,⁣ he created a blank, ghostly character for Quas (referencing the album title), sitting in the back of a pink classic car with a boombox. He also drew an updated version of Griego's character, inspired by how Quas describes himself in the track 'Bad Character', which is now the 'face' of Lord Quas. ⁣ ⁣ However, this sticker highlights 'The Unseen', which is how I experienced⁣ Quasimoto at the time. When I checked out the album for the first time I did not know what to expect. I did not know who ⁣Quasimoto was or what he looked like. This 'Unseen' character perfectly represents Quas, as well as me as a ‘blank slate’ listener discovering this album.⁣ ⁣ #quasimoto
