New Insulation Product you might not know about! @powerwool makes exterior rigid mineral wool insulation. This PowerWool 80 product is 8lb density with Industry leading compression resistance which means when you screw 1x furring strip battens over this material it’ll lay flatter (thus flatter siding). No shortages with these guys either. Same benefits of other mineral wool insulations: Fire Resistance, Vapor Open, and water runs off it like a ducks back. I inspected the crawlspace after all this rain.
It was a successful experiment. The @powerwool is almost 100 percent dry, and the moisture content won't have any problem coming down.
