ÆVESTADEN AT NORDIC NIGHT - GREFSENKOLLEN
For this edition of Nordic Nights, I have invited artists who carry something forward.
@aevestaden is one of them.
Rooted in Nordic folk traditions, their music moves between the acoustic and the electronic, the ancient and the immediate - creating a sound that feels both fragile and deeply grounded. As a newer voice, they bring a fresh perspective to this lineage - showing that tradition is not only something we inherit, but something we continuously shape.

SARA PARKMAN AT NORDIC NIGHT - GREFSENKOLLEN
For this edition of Nordic Nights, I have invited artists who carry something forward.
Sara Parkman - @parkiz is one of them.
With deep roots in Swedish folk tradition, her work moves freely between past and present - questioning, reshaping, and reimagining what tradition can be. Her music treats heritage not as something fixed, but as something living, capable of holding both history and urgency at once. In doing so, she has become a defining voice in a new generation of Nordic folk music.

From the light, airy tone of the willow flute to the sharp, natural call of the birch bark lur. Eilif also showcases impressive replicas of ancient bronze lurs, whose deep, powerful sound stands out as a key part of our performance. The interview was conducted during the recording of 'Tracking Birna: From Earth to Light and Earth Again'.

GÅTE AT NORDIC NIGHT - GREFSENKOLLEN
For this edition of Nordic Night, I have invited artists who carry something forward.
@gaate_official is one of them.
Drawing on deep roots in Norwegian folk tradition, their music moves between past and present with a rare sense of urgency — never standing still, but continuously reshaping the material into something both ancient and immediate. They have done so for decades, and still remain as relevant as ever.

MARI BOINE AT NORDIC NIGHT — GREFSENKOLLEN
For this edition of Nordic Night, I wanted to gather artists who, each in their own way, carry tradition, culture, and history into the present. Few embody this more than Sami artist @mariboine .
A pioneering and world-renowned musician, Mari has brought Sámi music, language, and perspective into a rich and evolving contemporary expression. Her work - and the way she has carried her heritage - has been a deep source of inspiration for me, and for Wardruna over the years.

The setting for our Nordic Night on June 13 is the natural amfi at Grefsenkollen, known for its stunning views overlooking the Oslo fjord.
We have always focused on presenting our art – and that of others – in surroundings that are adapted to and complement our music. We're excited to present some fantastic artists to an equally fantastic venue in Oslo!
