✨ Artist Spotlight: La Doña ✨
WAM Local Sirens Resident @LaDona415 is a powerhouse solo artist, educator, activist, and cultural worker rooted in San Francisco. She began her musical journey at just seven years old, performing in her family’s conjunto and studying trumpet, strings, and percussion.
Grounded in the preservation of Latinx traditions like corrido, bolero, cumbia, and mariachi, La Doña weaves these ancestral sounds with contemporary influences like reggaeton, hip-hop, and jazz - creating a sound that is both timeless and urgent. Her live performances are more than shows - they’re spaces for ceremony, collective healing, and political action.
