Next, Max will begin a career in civil engineering in Raleigh.

⭐️ The shuttle runs from Shuttle Stop B on Reynolda Campus to the front of Wake Downtown (455 Vine St.)
⭐️ On weekdays during the semester, the shuttle runs at XX:10, XX:25, XX:40, and XX:55 from BOTH stops from 7:25am-8:55pm.
⭐️ On weekends during the semester, the shuttle runs from Shuttle Stop B at XX:10 and XX:40, and from Wake Downtown at XX:25 and XX:55. It runs from 10:00am-5:55pm with a break from 1:00-2:00pm.

Meet Callise Young (’26).
An Engineering major, Callise found a way to do it all, balancing Engineering, Marching Band and Theatre across four years.
Next, she’s working toward a career that brings those worlds together, with a goal of becoming an Imagineer at Disney. 🎓 #WFU26 #WFUGrad
Senior Saturday: After he graduates in May 2026, Robert Trelo is “excited to work full-time in finance as an analyst while also serving in the Army Reserve, where I expect to be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Signal Corps, contributing to the Army’s communications, cyber-related, and information systems mission,” he said.
Robert joined the ROTC because he “wanted to grow as a leader in an environment defined by character, mentorship, discipline, accountability, and service, while also being part of something greater than myself.”
Outside of ROTC, he is a brother of Sigma Pi, an IFC fraternity on campus. “The brothers in that chapter are some of the best people I’ve met at Wake. They embody what genuine loyalty and care for one another look like on campus, and what it means to look out for one another without expecting anything in return, and being around them has made me a better person,” he said. During his freshman year, he was also a member of the Philomathesian Society, a unique literary and current events club focused on promoting discussion.
Robert is a finance major and an engineering minor.

Winston-Salem Expands Solar Energy Use at Fire Stations ☀️🚒
Yesterday, our Sustainability Department and Fire Department celebrated the completion of solar panel installations at Fire Stations 3 and 19. By the end of the summer, four fire stations will be powered by solar energy, improving efficiency and lowering operational costs.
Did you know? The City is also partnering with @wfuniversity on a solar-battery trailer designed to provide mobile power during emergencies. Engineering students at Wake Forest designed and built the trailer, which can be deployed during power outages to help residents charge electricity-dependent medical devices. The unit will be housed by @cityofwsfire and used in emergency situations.

Senior Saturday:
After graduation from Wake Forest in May 2026, Stamp’s Scholar Max Schellhammer will move to Raleigh, North Carolina to work as an Overhead Transmission Engineer with the Kiewit Corporation’s Power Delivery sector. He will be designing large, long distance, electrical tower lines connecting different communities and industries.
“Coming into college, I doubted every one of my abilities, and compared myself to others frequently. Through the mentorship of my professors and the support of my friends, I have since found myself much more confident, well-spoken, and social,” he said.
As an engineering and music double major, he splits his time between Wake Downtown and Scales Fine Arts Center.
Outside of classes, he works at the Innovation Studio at Wake Downtown, and is a member of the Spirit of the Old Gold and Black marching and pep bands.
