Tonight, the Disney Destiny came alive — not just as a ship, but as a story written in light across the sea. Watching the projection mapping come to life — the culmination of nearly a year of design, planning, late nights, back and forth travel to/from Germany, and faith, lots and lots of faith — this was surreal. We did what many said couldn’t be done time and time again: we turned an entire ship into a living canvas.
I wasn’t there in person, but I didn’t need to be. I watched my team carry the torch, and in every perfectly timed cue, every seamless beam of color dancing across her hull, I saw my fingerprints. That’s the magic of collaboration — when something you helped create outgrows you, takes on a life of its own, and sails proudly into history.
This wasn’t just a show. It was proof of what can happen when you believe in an idea big enough to light the ocean…this is what happens when you stand firm in helping people to understand that the crazy idea will in fact work…this is what happens when you are committed to breaking the mold.
And tonight, that promise shone bright.
To everyone involved and most importantly…to everyone that carried the torch after my departure, thank you. It feels complete now.
