Kali Yuga is a collective dedicated to percussive, drum-forward club music. Our sound transcends genres to present a modern ethnic perspective influenced by our diasporic roots. And as immigrants in Japan, invisible yet vilified, we organize events that platform foreign creators, and aim to bring the vibrant Tokyo scene to a global audience.

Kali Yugaは、打楽器の推進力に特化したクラブミュージックのコレクティブ。「トライバル」の枠を越境し、ルーツから影響を受けた現代的でエスニックなサウンドを展開。また、日本に生きる移民として、十分に可視化されず、時に排斥されてきた立場から、コミュニティに根ざしたイベントを主催。「異邦的」なクリエイターたちを中心に、東京の鮮烈なシーンを世界へと繋げる。
分断と不協和が跋扈する時代に対し、鮮やかに迸る急進的な鼓動。

Born in America to Indian immigrants, and now pursuing a doctorate in Tokyo, VOX’s life and work spans borders and disciplines. His sets weave bass music, hard drum, & breakbeats into a diasporic, danceable pulse. He has also worked with artists like Sextile, object blue, and bed to put on events that bridge the gap between Japan and the world.
インド系移民のもとアメリカに生まれ、現在は東京で博士号を追求するVOXの表現も、国境や領域を自在に横断。ベースミュージック、ハードドラム、やブレイクビーツで心を踊らせるリズムを織りなす。これまでSextile、object blue、bedなどと協働し、日本と世界を架橋するイベントを手がけてきた。

ハードテクノ・コミュニティの出発点からKali Yugaへ――PANICWORKSはシーンとシーンを接続する存在。インドネシアで生まれ育った彼の表現は、自身のルーツに根ざした民族的・伝統的要素を中心に展開される。PANICWORKSのセットは、原始的なエネルギーに満ち、テクノ、ハードドラム、やハードグルーヴに駆動される。

YASHA, formerly SIMARA, is a producer & DJ / sound designer currently residing in Tokyo. Born and raised in the US and of Afro-Caribbean heritage, he cut his teeth in NYC’s vibrant mid-2010s underground beat scene. His sound is both smooth and snappy, colored by Bmore/Jersey bass, housey grooves, and ambient textures.
YASHA（旧名SIMARA）は、プロデューサー／DJ／サウンドデザイナーで、現在は東京を拠点に活動している。アメリカで生まれ育ち、アフロ・カリビアンのルーツを持ち、2010年代半ばのNYののビートシーンでその腕を磨いた。彼のサウンドは、スームズでありながら躍動し、B-more／Jerseyの重低音、ハウスっぽいグルーヴ、やアンビエントな雰囲気で彩られている。
