Some shots from a fun shoot with @bushcraft_studio who wanted some new images for the new website. We made the beautiful Graves Park in Sheffield look like the middle of nowhere.
It feels like about 100 years since this night already. The best evening of my life - the launch party for The Wise Witch of Orkney.
Family and friends from every part of my life coming together for a big 'Hurray - she did it!' This is the third and final of the wonderful Reels created by Will Roberts of @vox_multimedia to help me remember it all!
As I look back on the whirlwind of the last two months, I'm so pleased we captured this. I'll only ever have one debut novel and I don't know if I'll ever have another night like this.
An enormous epic massive thank you to everyone who came and made it so special.

The book launch party for The Wise Witch of Orkney was the greatest evening of my life so far, with over 200 friends and family gathering at a Peak District coaching inn to have a lovely time and celebrate dreams coming true! ๐๐๐โ๏ธ
I'm so very pleased the brilliant Will Roberts was there to film it and capture the moment. This is the second of three lovely short videos he created so I wouldn't forget how it all felt โ๏ธ๐
And a huge thank you to Juno Books for bringing 70 copies of The Wise Witch, and selling every single one of them - with people still queuing up for more! ๐๐
What a bloomin' brilliant time we had! Yay! ๐ญ๐

๐ A closer look at the mural by @kidacne and @friends.ofscc at Cole Brothers in Sheffield.
The artwork continues a long-standing relationship between art and architecture at the site, and with planning approval now secured, weโre excited to bring our vision for the building to life. Click the link in our bio to read more about what we've got planned for the former department store ๐
Oh wow! On Weds 25 Feb, the evening before my book was officially published, over 200 of my friends and family turned out to celebrate The Wise Witch of Orkney at a lovely local Peak District coaching inn, The Travellers Rest ๐
I think it was the best night of my whole life - my daughter curated a wonderful playlist and created a signature Wise Witch cocktail, my sister - who works at The Highland Bookshop in Fort William - interviewed me, and people from all areas of my life kept pouring through those doors - my secondary school English teacher even arrived (and tried to insist I call her by her first name now!) ๐
Sarah from Juno Books came along with 70 copies of the book - and sold all of them, with people still queuing up for more! ๐คฏ
I'm thrilled that the brilliant Will Roberts of Vox Media was there to capture it all. The full video is available to watch too ๐
Thank you so much to everyone who came - I was overwhelmed and only got a chance to speak to each person for about three seconds, but it meant the world that each of you turned out. I'm so unbelievably grateful and I still don't think I've really taken it in yet โ๐ Thank goodness I have video evidence!

A visit to Park Hill isnโt a visit to Park Hill unless you take a photo. Well, this time I was at Park Hill to take photos, specifically a visit from @riba@ribayorkshire and then to document Phase 4 of the development of Park Hill by @weareurbansplash - still in the early days of site clearance before the restoration work starts.
While these flats donโt directly face the city skyline they have some mega views across the site and some will have one of my favourite views in Sheffield - the skyline framed by the I Love You bridge.
โWalk in your purpose and trust in the processโ
A bold new mural designed by @kidacne and commissioned by @friends.ofscc has been unveiled at Cole Brothers.
Here, Kid Acne, Bridget Ingle & Sian Stanhope each tell us more about the artwork and how it reconnects the arts and architecture at the former department store.
Some frames from a recent commission about Community Transport in Sheffield. These buses are a bit of a social lifeline for elderly people but they rely heavily on volunteers. Shout out to @gemma_thorpe for helping out with the shoot when I had a pre-Christmas flu!
