🏁 The Mission On average, men die 6 years earlier than women. Most of these reasons are preventable, yet the number of men suffering in silence continues to grow. This Sunday, 17 May, Cameron Wadley and Darren Vos are taking part in The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. It’s more than just an excuse to wear a suit and ride cool old-school motorcycles—it’s a global movement to fund prostate cancer research and suicide prevention through Movember. How You Can Help We are looking for your support. This Sunday, trade in your hard hat for an open face helmet… or contribute a donation to their fundraising page. Your support makes a tangible difference in men’s mental and physical health. Let’s help the men in our lives live the long lives they deserve. PROJECT SHOWCASE Lillian Martin United AgeWell Our Southern Construction business successfully completed the Lillian Martin Redevelopment for United AgeWell, transforming a 36-bed facility into a 61-bed modern residential aged care home. The extensive scope featured modern accommodation and dementia-friendly lounges, new activity areas, two servery areas, an upgraded commercial kitchen and laundry, a central courtyard, a new entry, and a 37-space car park, alongside essential infrastructure such as a substation upgrade, fire tanks, and replacement ancillary buildings. We are proud to have delivered a facility built for longevity and resident comfort. A huge congratulations to our project team, subcontractors and Marchese Partners. Thank you to our valued client, United AgeWell, for another successful collaboration in Southern Tasmania. 📷 GroundUp Imaging #vosgroup #UnitedAgeWell #TasmanianConstruction #AgedCareConstruction

Our northern staff enjoyed a great walkthrough of the newly opened Northern Suburbs Recreation Hub in Mowbray this past Thursday. Big congratulations to Leigh, Col, Nigel, Glenn, and the whole crew. Their dedication has brought Tasmania's largest multi-purpose indoor community sports and recreation facility to life! We also appreciate organising the post-tour bite to eat; it was a chance for the team to catch up, hear from our leaders, and meet and greet. #vosgroup

🎉 Celebrating Peter Lucas’ Retirement 🎉 After an incredible 49 years with the business, Peter Lucas officially commenced his retirement in mid-September. Throughout his career, Peter made an extraordinary contribution — starting with Vos as a Wood Machinist before becoming perhaps the first CNC operator in Tasmania. He then transitioned into the office and embarked on a major, career-defining role in CAD, which, at the time, was also a new technology in the joinery industry. His skill, dedication, loyalty, and robust approach have left a lasting mark on our team and our industry. He has worked on many key projects throughout Australia, whether that was machining timber, point-to-point drilling and nesting of parts on the CNC, or drawing and designing an enormous amount of joinery through CAD. We celebrated the milestone with a relaxed BBQ — just the way Peter preferred, keeping things low-key, although he did enjoy the occasional stir up of team members. In the photo, Pete stands beside our outgoing extraction unit — fittingly, both have been with the business for about the same length of time! Congratulations, Peter, on an amazing career and well-deserved retirement. Thank you for everything you’ve achieved and the legacy you leave behind. 👏

We're incredibly proud to announce that Vos has been awarded the contract to build the new $16 million Spirit of Tasmania passenger terminal! 🥳🚢 This is a fantastic win for the local construction industry, ensuring this significant project is delivered by a local Tasmanian owned company. The new terminal building is a high-end architectural project, using extensive quantities of Tasmanian timber in both the structure and the internal fit-out, and includes car parking, landscaping, and a wash bay to complement the major infrastructure already underway on site. Securing work like this is vital for the development of our young apprentices and the North-West Coast construction industry as a whole. A big thank you to TT Line for their commitment to using local companies and expertise! We can't wait to deliver this iconic project! #Devonport #SpiritOfTasmania #LocalJobs #Tasmania #Construction #vosgroup #Apprenticeships #Infrastructure

We are proud to showcase the successful delivery of the new and improved Rebel Store at Westfield Bondi Junction. 🎉 A project that truly sets a new standard for retail experience! We partnered with Rebel Sport to bring their unique "Stadium of Sport" concept to life, transforming the 3,000 sqm space into an interactive, immersive destination. The store features cutting-edge dedicated experience zones for sports like basketball 🏀and football 🏈, allowing customers to test products and fully engage with the brand. This complex fit-out was a testament to our team's expertise and resilience. We faced significant challenges posed by the incomplete state of the base building upon engagement, requiring us to skilfully adapt the design to accommodate unfinished services and existing structural elements. The success of this project was celebrated with an Honourable Mention at the Interior Fitout Association Awards in Melbourne. A big thank you to our project team, our partners, including Scentre Group and the entire Rebel Sport team, for the collaboration. #IFAawards #RebelSport #BondiJunction #vosgroup #vosshopfitting
