Blooming Haus by Studio WhiteScape Set in RR Nagar, Bengaluru, this residence is nestled between a scenic hillscape on one side and lush spring blossom trees on the other. Located on a south-west corner plot with a hill to the east and a renowned temple beyond, the home is designed for a multigenerational family comprising a couple, their son, and the grandparents. Named *The Blooming Haus*, the residence embraces a modern minimalist architectural language while responding thoughtfully to its natural and urban context. 105 sq.mt house by MANOJ PATEL DESIGN STUDIO Located on the outskirts of Vadodara, Gujarat, India, the Brick Weave House offers a quiet retreat away from the city’s fast-paced environment. Positioned on a corner plot of 1140 sq.ft., the site is bordered by a neighboring residence on one side while opening towards an internal road on the other, creating opportunities for both privacy and openness. Given the compact footprint, the design strategically expands vertically, allowing the home to comfortably accommodate the needs of two generations living together. The clients envisioned a residence that balances togetherness with individual privacy. Responding to this, the design evolves as a series of interconnected architectural and spatial experiences, where varying volumes and transitional passages create a dynamic flow throughout the home. The planning encourages interaction while simultaneously carving out intimate private zones for each family member. On the Brooks by Monsoon Collective The monsoon has profoundly influenced the vernacular architectural style of Kerala, inspiring us to design a home that fully embraces the seasonal rains. Our vision was to create a space where one could immerse themselves in the beauty of the monsoon. Drawing from the imagery of gentle streams flowing across the land during the rains, we conceptualized a house perched above these brooks. Ingeniously designed water channels guide rainwater from the roof through the structure, offering an intimate experience of the rain from within. The expansive parasol roof, with its striking angular profile, efficiently directs rainwater into these channels, which meander around and through the house, crafting diverse sensory encounters with the rain. To further enhance the experience, bay windows are strategically positioned to overlook the channels as they brim with water during the rainy season, creating a seamless connection with the monsoon's splendor. Sana Chouhan Salon by Aviral Design Studio Sana Chouhan Salon in Jammu reimagines the contemporary beauty space as an immersive retreat, prioritizing softness, tactility, and emotional comfort over visual spectacle. Conceived as a sanctuary rather than a high-energy commercial interior, the design treats beauty as something fluid and sculptural layered, calm, and quietly expressive. The client’s vision deliberately moves away from the typical salon archetype of glossy surfaces and mirror-heavy environments. Instead, the space is designed as a soothing milieu where everyday grooming rituals unfold within an atmosphere of ease and sensory warmth. The interior feels less like a transactional setting and more like a thoughtfully composed spatial experience shaped by light, material, and form. Upon entry, visitors are greeted by a warm, earthen palette of ecru and sandy neutrals. Subtle textured finishes lend the surfaces a tactile richness, gently absorbing and diffusing natural light. Ornamentation is intentionally restrained, allowing architecture itself to define the aesthetic language of the space. Flowing arches and softened edges replace rigid geometries, dissolving sharp boundaries and encouraging movement through gently unfolding spatial sequences. The Breeze-court House by Studio Blank Canvas Designed for an intergenerational family of five in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, this residence explores the dialogue between architecture and its surroundings while preserving a strong sense of privacy. The home takes the form of a robust, climate-responsive structure shaped by Ahmedabad’s harsh weather conditions. The west façade remains largely solid and puncture-less to minimize heat gain, while the southern side features deep overhangs complemented by custom-designed metal and wooden screens that filter light and enhance comfort. A carefully curated palette of exposed RCC finishes and textured materials reinforces the home’s low-maintenance character. Situated at the junction of two roads, the design concept was rooted in creating a free-flowing open space enveloped by greenery, acting as both a visual and acoustic buffer from the urban context. Entry into the home is through a warm, intimate vestibule that serves as a transitional pause between the outdoors and the private interiors. Inside, the living, dining, and kitchen spaces are seamlessly interconnected, while still offering the flexibility to function independently when required.
