Square Wave is a live music event for modular synthesists. Besides exciting performances, Square Wave is about meeting and connecting with fellow synth enthusiasts.
Performers will engage in duo improvisation sessions, each lasting ten minutes. Pairings for the duos will be randomly determined through a drawing of lots. Additionally, each duo will be assigned a BPM (tempo) through a random draw, falling within the range of 60-160 BPM. Thus, fate will dictate both a participant’s improvisation partner and the tempo, ensuring each duo performance is uniquely dynamic, exciting, and enjoyable! We’ll do three rounds of four 10-minute performances. So each performer plays three times, over the course of the afternoon.

BOGLIASCO TAPE RELEASE - Voltmeister is amongst the artists featured on this special cassette release: /album/bogliasco
A collaborative project born from the llllllll.cocommunity, Traveling Cassettes gathers artists across Europe in an analog exchange. Five tapes travelled hand to hand, each contributor recording a fragment before passing it on — documenting connection, trust, and collective creativity in motion.
From Bogliasco, a small coastal town overlooking the Ligurian Sea, five tapes began their journey — packed in envelopes, addressed to other listeners, other makers somewhere else in Europe. The instructions were simple: record something, anything, on the next open section of the tape, then send it onward.
What followed was an unfolding conversation. Each participant met the project at a different point in time and geography. Some recorded at home, some in studios, some while traveling. Each added a fragment, a gesture, a moment, a pause. The sound of each recording, the subtle wear of each rewind, even the waiting between arrivals — all became part of the piece.
Recorded across Italy, France, Poland, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, Hawaii, and the Netherlands. Completed 2022-2026.
