Every home starts with a conversation.
At Volansky Studio, we design homes in close collaboration with our clients and builders, leading a clear process and carrying the vision all the way through construction.

Farmhouse Magic.
We can’t wait to share more of this project with you. As the months go on, we’ll tell the story of Farmhouse Magic—a home that began as a prefabricated structure and became something deeply personal.
You’ll see how the design creates space for family heirlooms and everyday rituals, how rooms were shaped around who would gather where (and when), and how orientation, flow, and light were carefully considered to accommodate life as it changes over the years. This is a house designed to be lived in now, and for generations to come.

A closer look at how the house is put together. Straight lines, set in different directions, each one responding to the structure and the space it’s shaping.

Mid-Spring site visit at First Chair. We’ve framed a lot of views in our work. This one didn’t need any help.

A little throwback to that time we had the pleasure of working alongside something we really love, mountain biking!
The previous space was a restaurant, and the goal of this project was to transform that space into a truly awesome bike shop, restaurant and bar.
If you have visited @ranchcampstowe you know that mission was accomplished 🙌

A farmhouse with a wraparound porch, connected barn, and standing seam roof. Using simple materials and familiar form, this rendering showcases a home designed to look like it found the site, not the other way around.
A guest suite for grandma and grandpa, and bunk beds nearby for their favorite visitors.
At the Farmhouse Magic project, this entertainment room was designed so the kids can stay nearby when the grandparents visit, keeping everyone together while the main house remains a quiet retreat for the parents.
Some of the best design decisions start with a simple question: Where will the kids want to sleep?

A cabin isn't a cabin without great coziness.
Our client's log cabin in northern Vermont was reworked into a year-round Vermont retreat—where built-ins hold stacks of well-loved books, the kitchen is ready for gathering, and a stone fireplace anchors the room after a day on the mountain.
