A guest suite for grandma and grandpa, and bunk beds nearby for their favorite visitors.
At the Farmhouse Magic project, this entertainment room was designed so the kids can stay nearby when the grandparents visit, keeping everyone together while the main house remains a quiet retreat for the parents.
Some of the best design decisions start with a simple question: Where will the kids want to sleep?

Picking up where we left off on the story of Farmhouse Magic!
Once the wish list started to take shape, things moved quickly. A garage that could keep up with outdoor life with room for skis, bikes, and a proper workshop. A mudroom that welcomes everyone in and gives wet layers somewhere to land after a good day on the mountain.
From there, the ideas kept building: A guest and hangout space above the garage, a private deck for early-morning yoga or coffee at sunrise, floor-to-ceiling windows to pull in views and light, and anchoring it all is a cozy stone fireplace in what’s now known as the “Fantastic Room".

We can’t wait to share more of this project with you. As the months go on, we’ll tell the story of Farmhouse Magic—a home that began as a prefabricated structure and became something deeply personal.
You’ll see how the design creates space for family heirlooms and everyday rituals, how rooms were shaped around who would gather where (and when), and how orientation, flow, and light were carefully considered to accommodate life as it changes over the years. This is a house designed to be lived in now, and for generations to come.
