a new life has come into @pagalrecords after it changed hands late last year. a legacy store in the heart of hauz khas that has nurtured and pushed vinyl culture across india
@kyekailash has been sharing the love for reggae for ages through goa and delhi, and now comes way up north to dharamshala. straight from brixton sound system culture kye kailash bringing his original roots reggae records to move people in the dhauladhar range.

Going back to play at Monkey is always special because it feels like going home.
I called up @verticalcancer and asked if we could start the party at 3 pm, and he was like, “Hell yes, bro.” So it’s almost a day party for a few reasons.
We have four DJs who are all itching to play extra-long sets just because they love playing at Monkey.
3–4:30 pm: Fawn — his Dharamshala debut!
4:30–7 pm: Dharze — he hasn’t played a water-themed selection in two years. It’s about time.
7–9:30 pm: Miss Witch — taking us underwater and into the night
9:30–Close: I Digress — no need for an intro to what this magician can do
It’s also long because @the_psychedelic_soldier and his team are cooking up five water-themed cocktails which is a special just for this day, and I plan to try all of them. We can’t wait to see what this mixology wizard has in store for us. (Slide 2)
The 15th is a day not to be missed and bring an umbrella! ⛱️☂️
The special thing about this town is that whenever it’s time for the people to come together and unite, they really do. So I am grateful that this collective endeavour is moving forth so smooth, just like water. 🌊
